Cooks is so soft.

Man, that was not an easy catch at all. Harmon delivered the wood as soon as the ball arrived, timing it perfectly, and Gilmore had subtly arm barred Cooks' left arm (and that's basically never called as PI given the subtlety; refs always let that level of contact go). That's usually not a catch.

He dropped two. Neither play was easy. He is being paid as a top flight WR. A top WR has to make one of those plays.

not like a Bill dropping a pass right in his hands with no possibility of contact for 5 seconds after the catch.

That first one wasn't a drop. It was a bad play by the qb, who recognized it way too late. McCourty arrived in time to defense the play.

To be honest:

He is a great defender, however he makes bad decisions and YES: it seems with the Bills he got called for Penalties and tonight in the SUPERBOWL he got burnt a few times and then on a crucial play to Cooks, he lost him and arm barred him and never got called.   By the same token, Cooks got up and went back to the huddle without selling the hold or complaining.

Rams had many opportunities to play no huddle, cuz the Pats defence chaos,,but instead, they huddled everytime and gave the Pats upper hand.......Amazing how a fat bastard like me can see what is going on but Goff and McVay cannot.

I am really going to have to disagree with you on this one.

It was almost like a home Patriot game, it was extremely;y loud when the Rams were on offense, that makes running a no huddle, esp with a young QB very difficult.  As it was the Rams had motion calls and delay of games, often got the ball snapped with only one second left. It was thee rams offense that was in more chaos than the PAts Defense.

By this definition, a lot of good players will be found to be great players five years after they retire. Gilmore has a pretty decent shot at the hall, though he needs to continue playing at this level for a while longer.

What's that you say? Goff is young?

Yup.

He isnt going to the Hall of Fame.

He’s a Patriot* now. They don’t get penalized. Duh...

Can you just imagine how upset Tommy might become? That would be unbearable!

Gilmore was a very good cover guy for the Bills but he wouldn't tackle to save his life.  What he was doing was saving his body so he could sign somewhere else and be in good shape to play well.  It really sucks that he did that, showing his coverage skills for sale to the highest bidder, but not playing quite enough for the Bills to decide to pay him what others would.
