Seasons1992 Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 (edited) Anyone who says differently is a Bills homer who doesn't understand that you can't tell the story of the NFL without Gronk. Gronk>Tony Gonzalez. (respect to Mr. WEO, respectfully.) Edited February 3, 2019 by Seasons1992

cage Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 (edited) I think he is for a few reasons: -- He's had substantial and impressive playoff stats, so that's added into the consideration -- He's played for 9 years, dominant in all of them, while Terrell Davis only 7, dominant for only 4 -- Crazy as it is, Brady would be the only other Pats offensive player inducted throughout the dynasty (Moss doesn't really count for Pats). Every other "dynasty" team had multiple inductees First ballot Edited February 3, 2019 by cage

I’d be hard pressed to think of one I’d pick before him. He’s a monster in nearly anything you’d ask of a TE ...Gates...easy...........

Because only a certain number get in each year It just means that voters would pick other worthy members who just missed out the year before. Happens ALL the time. .

I hope they put Roby on him...and he gets away with a hit like he did in the Saints game... Oh wait...patriots never have calls like that go against them. Edited February 3, 2019 by Azucho98

NO WAY, especially in this TE pass-happy NFL. This TE pass happy league that the Patriots helped shaped because of Gronk. No question first ballot.

ProcessTruster Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 i guess so . don' t really care, frankly
Gray Beard Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 I guess yes. He has been a part of the dynasty for many years. That tips the scales for him, especially if he has a good game today.

Look at what he did on the field and most especially look what he did in big games and big moments. That being said, ***** Gronk. His stats better be okay from what I saw happen 2 hours ago, WhoTom said: Ever see Tony Gonzalez or Shannon Sharpe play? zonabb Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 First ballot, without question. You know he has 7 fewer TDs than Andre Reed in half the games. And more yards per reception. Amazing the lengths people will go to try, and fail miserably, to undercut anything related to the Pats. This guy, when he's been healthy, has been the most dominate TE in his time in the league, bar none. He stretches the field, runs the middle, dominates the red zone. Just another post blinded by Patriot hate and trying miserably to diminish anyone involved. Guy singlehandedly ate the Bills up and now you're feelings are hurt.
MDH Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Absolutely a first ballot HoFer. Those numbers are fantastic and don’t take into account that he has also been the best run blocking TE in the game over that stretch too.
formerlyofCtown Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Gronk is the greatest TE ever. He would have been dominant in any era.

Rob's House Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 No question. I'll always think he's a dick for what he did to Tre White, but he's arguably the GOAT.

Personally speaking, the Buffalo native part offsets the punk move on Tre White. ***** no. He should not be welcome anywhere in Buffalo. That was a punk move, the worst I've ever seen in a football game. ***** him.
The Senator Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Who’s mental deficiency caused us to draft Torell Troup 1 pick before Gronk? Was it Brandon or Nix? Troup was out of football two years later. i wanted Gronk to be a Bill so bad. A polish kid, from Buffalo and Notre Dame? He’d have been loved here. That said, of course he’s an automatic for the HOF. . 1
