EasternOHBillsFan Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Now that Gronk's career is seemingly coming to an end, there are some that seem to think he's a first ballot Hall of Famer. Here are his numbers: Year Team Games Receiving Rushing Fumbles G GS Rec Yds Avg Lng TD Att Yds Avg Lng TD Fum Lost 2010 NE 16 11 42 546 13.0 28 10 0 0 0.0 0 0 1 1 2011 NE 16 16 90 1,326 14.7 52T 17 1 2 2.0 2T 1 0 0 2012 NE 11 11 55 790 14.4 41 11 0 0 0.0 0 0 1 1 2013 NE 7 6 39 592 15.2 50 4 0 0 0.0 0 0 0 0 2014 NE 15 10 82 1,124 13.7 46T 12 0 0 0.0 0 0 0 0 2015 NE 15 15 72 1,176 16.3 76T 11 0 0 0.0 0 0 0 0 2016 NE 8 6 25 540 21.6 53 3 0 0 0.0 0 0 0 0 2017 NE 14 14 69 1,084 15.7 53T 8 0 0 0.0 0 0 1 0 2018 NE 13 13 47 682 14.5 42 3 0 0 0.0 0 0 1 1 Career 115 102 521 7,860 15.1 76 79 1 2 2.0 2 1 4 3 There is NO WAY numbers like that equal a first ballot Hall of Famer. JohnBonhamRocks Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 2 rings helps. Plus set all sorts of records or was top 3 for a bunch of categories. First ballot for sure imho. 1
aristocrat Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 If terell Davis is with the short career so is gronk 3 1

GunnerBill Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 I think he will go in on the first ballot. And whether he does or not it won't really matter because he will be in eventually.
Gugny Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 He is absolutely a first ballot Hall of Famer. That's a no-brainer to any unbiased football fan. 1
MJS Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Who knows? He's been a pretty dominant force at TE over the years. He also missed a lot of playing time due to injuries. Ultimately he'll get in. Not sure if it will be first ballot or not, but he'll get in. 1
Virgil Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Who ***** cares? Take it to a Pats forum. 8 4 1 1
White Linen Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 He's 100% a HOF'er - I just don't think it's 100% that he's 1st ballot. If he and Antonio Gates retire in the same season - I could see Gronk getting bumped.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 He’s not all that different than Shannon Sharpe. They may be a debate but the odds are in his favor.
CommonCents Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Does it really matter if a guy is first ballot? I guess if he was a Bill maybe I would care? I don’t think so though, I don’t even know what ballot our guys got in on. I was just happy when they did.
Iron Maiden Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 (edited) I think he is...One thing the graphic in the op doesn't show is Gronk's ability to block...he is the probably the best blocking TE in NFL history..... Edited February 3, 2019 by Iron Maiden
RaoulDuke79 Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 I cant see how he couldn't be. When he played he was the most dominant tight end to ever play. He may not have the longevity of some of the others, but he has the numbers.
Boca BIlls Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 If you get your own commercials/brand you get HoF.
IgotBILLStopay Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Oh yes. On Pittsburgh television he is not a known cheater. Personally speaking, the Buffalo native part offsets the punk move on Tre White.

The TD numbers are strong and he helps his teams win most of their games.
