Spotrac, who is pretty current, has the Eagles at $19M over the cap and franchising Foles would add another $5M or so. They'll need to clear that room before March 13th and if it's truly $24M, that's a tall order. Your numbers are accurate Doc. Probably only about 3 million or so more for the Tag but still a lot to move. Philly also has a lot of guys becoming FAs they have to consider re-signing or replacing. That could add to the deficit. 1 hour ago, WyoNewt said: The Eagles big contracts are: Player (63 total) Base Salary(Guaranteed) Bonuses Cap Number Dead Money & Cap Savings Cut (pre-June 1) Cut (post-June 1) Trade (pre-June 1) Trade (post-June 1) Restructure Extension Prorated Roster Workout Other Nick Foles $20,000,000 $1,600,000 $0 $0 $0 $21,600,000 $2,800,000 $18,800,000 Lane Johnson $10,850,000 $4,192,206 $250,000 $0 $0 $15,292,206 $10,811,912 $4,480,294 Alshon Jeffery $11,750,000$11,750,000 $2,975,000 $0 $0 $0 $14,725,000 $20,675,000 ($5,950,000) Timmy Jernigan $11,000,000 $2,000,000 $0 $0 $0 $13,000,000 $6,000,000 $7,000,000 Zach Ertz $8,000,000 $4,047,500 $0 $0 $100,000 $12,129,500 $10,542,500 $1,587,000 Brandon Brooks $8,000,000 $3,978,397 $0 $0 $0 $11,978,397 $11,140,794 $837,603 Fletcher Cox $930,000 $10,972,000 $0 $0 $0 $11,902,000 $37,922,000 ($26,020,000) Malcolm Jenkins $8,100,000 $3,037,000 $250,000 $0 $0 $11,387,000 $9,148,000 $2,239,000 Jason Peters $7,750,000 $2,666,668 $0 $250,000 $0 $10,666,668 $2,666,668 $8,000,000 Rodney McLeod $7,500,000 $2,406,250 $0 $0 $0 $9,906,250 $4,812,500 $5,093,750 Nelson Agholor $9,387,000 $0 $0 $0 $0 $9,387,000 $0 $9,387,000 tyNigel Bradham $8,000,000$2,000,000 $1,000,000 $0 $0 $0 $9,000,000 $6,000,000 $3,000,000 Two or three should be available. The composition of the draft and their draft position should allow them to replace whatever they have to give up. Jason Peters is probably a cap dump but that still leaves them a lot to cut. Like I said above they got a lot of FAs to consider. Eagles can do it but it is risky. All this has to happen before the end of business the 13th of March.
Doc Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 They'll need to make a lot of cuts that will leave them a far worse team.

Don’t worry that they still would have got a third round comp pick for him anyway..his value must be completely maximised to the Organisation. We did the same thing with Peerless Price I believe so it's not personal. It's business.

Clearly Tyrod's value was colored by perception of Browns' head coach who was fired. His value is colored by perception opposite directions by most of posters in thread. QBs are in a shortage in NFL and he and his agent should be careful not to express thoughts in a way to reduce his value. Backup QBs who may cause trouble have their value greatly discounted.

Doc Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 What article are you talking about? The only article I see linked is the one you have in your earlier post and that says nothing about what their salary cap number is.
BuffaloRebound Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 If I’m the Rams, I’m giving up my 1st rounder for Foles.

BuffaloRebound Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Were you drunk last night? They hoist the Super Bowl trophy with Foles.
DCOrange Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 I don't buy it honestly. I don't think the Eagles will tag him.
auburnbillsbacker Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Foles should sign that franchise tag deal immediately. I don't think he will comparable pay on the open market.
