Hey, hopefully they are learning from their mistakes.  I doubt it, but one can hope.  I think the whole Fairfax thing is complete BS, I believe they were consensual and someone decided for payback from the Kavanaugh fiasco.  As far as the blackface, stupid decisions but we all did dumb things and the hope is that they have learned and evolved.

That would be quite the time-travel feat: "payback from the Kavanaugh fiasco" when WaPo knew about it (the allegations) before the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings.

They may have had it pre-Kavanaugh, but you know damn well they wouldn't have been the one to break it, that would be hurting one of their own.  If it turns out to be non-consensual then I will apologize for my comments, but it just smells bad

Yes, it is very bold for the party that attacked Kavanaugh with no evidence to insist it is no big deal when their pets are found with full evidence.

You're pointing out hypocrisy on the left, which  is like pointing out today is Monday.

Regardless, due process is still an important thing, and the Donner Party's irrational, slanderous actions against Kavanaugh do not justify irrational, slanderous actions in general. The blackface stuff is dumb as hell, but the Fairfax stuff should be investigated FIRST. There is some corroboration available for the second accuser, and it should be looked at in depth before anyone steps down or get canned.

they don't care at all, all they care about is the Dem Brand

literally anything goes with not a second of self-reflection

Since it doesn't really involve you, an accusation like Fairfax should be treated as an incident and you hope it is treated to the level it deserves and the facts come out and justice is done, either way.

It's too risky to make public comments now on these allegations, just sayin''

if it involves you or yours, heaven help you

I have no knowledge of what the LT Governor's Johnson smells like, but I think it left a bad taste in the lady's mouth.

Oh, and there are two accusers now. One in college and then the DNC kissing led to a hummer.

This is GREAT news! Halloween parties now can feature whites in Black Face and wearing KKK Costumes.

Still might be frowned upon if one shows up in NAZI uniforms, but Confederate unis and flags must be A-OK now!

I keep waiting for Northam to hold a press conference to yell, "Hey...look at that burka-wearing anti-semite!!! Attack! Attack!"

Then follow it up with "I don't know who said that, it wasn't me...but I did say it that one other time, and I'm reading the Satanic Verses to educate myself..."

Personally I am glad that the Governor/LG & AG aren't stepping down.  I think this is the same tactic used against Kavanaugh and I am glad they are holding their ground and doing what they can to expose this BS.  Maybe the mudslinging will stop and they can start focusing on governing.  This isn't an endorsement of any of the pols, just glad they are fighting back

You'll have to excuse me for not having any sympathy for Northam after what happened to Kavanaugh. Hope his life is made considerably more miserable.

Or you can have sympathy because of what happened to Kavanaugh.  And hope the Democratic Party leadership's lives are made considerably more miserable.

I will never have such a hope in an environment where the "free press" is the propaganda arm of the Democratic party.

Personal request.........Please leave Al Jolson ( and Eddie Cantor) out of this.

Both were great entertainers and were NOT racists.

Cantor was well dramatized in Boardwalk Empire, especially when he wasn't impressing Chalky White

I do.  What they care about doesn't inform my views.

That's all well and good. But they've long since abandoned any hope of civility, rationality, or pretenses of bipartisanship. Can't reason with the unreasonable.

So we should stoop to their level?
