There is a fine line between arrogance and confidence.  There is no line between wimpiness and being America's hat.

That PM wasn’t understandable in either Canadian language. He may have been the last ever that was titled towards the French side that drastically.

That's a pretty blanket statement as I would argue it's just a small fraction on the progressive left that feel that way.  I don't know enough about Omar to say whether she applauded 9/11 or just used it to her political advantage to push back against perceived Muslim bigotry.  Agree to disagree I guess.

It seems like a blanket statement because we probably have different ideas of what consititutes the progressive left.

The progressive left to me is THE far left;  those who want socialism, open borders, late-term abortions and the New Green Deal. They believe people who didn't own slaves should fork out a bunch of money to people who weren't slaves to make them feel better about themselves while giving free money to voters they're losing every day. They want to stomp out racism by making racism the first thing they yell about. They want to fight you not with conversation, but with tactics meant to shut your mouth and close your business. And most importantly, they believe that the US is not a fair system and it will never be fair until everyone is equal by THEIR definition. And sometimes it takes 3,000 dead to get that point across.

If you read up on Omar, you'll ultimately read up on CAIR, at which point you'll learn not only why she says what she says, but be embarrassed by the tens of thousands -- maybe hundreds of thousands -- of progressive leftists who hang on her every word.

Fair enough.  I see the progressive left mostly as people pushing for single payer, reducing the military budget, pushing for an isolationist foreign policy, increasing the social safety net, substantial increase of minimum wage, redistribution of wealth, fighting for minorities who are subject to racism, etc...  I'll take your word on Omar.

You are leaving out a large part of the progressive left's agenda. They don't tout it, but it is ingrained in their DNA. It is complete intolerance for people and ideas that don't fit their narrative. They have no boundaries regarding how to demand getting their way. They are the proverbial wolves dressed up as sheep. Nazis claiming to be anti-Nazis.

The problem is that those are the thoughts of the 'moderates" and old-timers like Biden and Hillary.

The youngsters have full control of the narrative now, and they're rendering the old-timers obsolete.

Remember how virtually no one saw Trump winning? There was that silent part of the middle of the country no one was paying attention to. Those people are watching and listening to AOC, Tlaib and Omar, and you can bet your ass they're pissed. Suddenly these nutbags start mocking a war vet?? For doing nothing for his country after 9/11?? An event she literally referred to as "something someone did?"

Ugly stuff, man. Really ugly.

I agree.  You want the whole country to be pissed at you......downplay 9/11.  The other 200 something Democratic Congresspeople need to do something or these three will just continue to embarrass the party.

Just saw this on Twitter from a HuffPo writer.

Pelosi and Shumer on 9/11. Someone better tell that trio, and their puppetmasters, to shut their pieholes because Trump has too much footage of 9/11, and I'm damn certain he's not afraid to use any on it.

As someone who was educated in Blacksburg, I can confirm that everyone in Charlottesville is a nazi. :P

Except for the vineyard owners. Those are some mighty fine people doing great work.

I am both a resident of Charlottesville, a vineyard owner, and the father of one child who graduated fro "Blacksburg," and one who graduated from UVA.

The people who did what they did in Charlottesville were not from here.

They were imported lunatic white supremacists who came here to cause trouble.

One has been convicted of murder and given a life sentence. He is from Ohio.

A number of other "imports" are in jail, or will be soon enough.

Jesus, Congress was racist back then.

What do you expect from a bunch of damn nationalists who would dare to sing such an offensive song?

I'm not sure it's damned if you do damned if you don't.  They can absolutely condemn what was said.  It's just making sure they say it in the right way.  Think before you speak.  Have the message measured. Say it in a way the majority of Americans will say "bravo!  I agree!!"  This is why I say Twitter will be the death of the Republic.  People "speaking" before they have given time to properly formulate their thoughts and the ramifications of what they are about to say.

Of course he didn't.

All of the people who lead that party are not just anti-American, they're anti-reality.

They're circling the wagons around the Jihad caucus.

Has anyone else noticed that every time AOC, Tlaib, and Omar say something objectively stupid, and are called out for it, they immediately play the racial victim card and pretend that they're in danger because they've been criticized for saying something objectively stupid?

Absolutely.

It’s a silencing tool they’re employing in order that they don’t have to defend their ideas or debate policy.

It’s not at all dissimilar from when Cortez was challenged to a debate by Ben Shapiro, and she feigned indignation, and likened being challenged to a debate to cat calling.
