"Tensions are running high in the Dem conference over their response to Ilhan Omar — and @RepJahanaHayes confronted Pelosi directly about it this morning."

Here's how that "confrontation" likely went:

Hayes: "Ms. Pelosi, ma'am, I meant to discuss something with you, but only, um, when you have time, ma'am."
Pelosi: "Who the ***** are you again?"

It's all cherry picked garbage and selective outrage. I'm sure these are the same people that shrug at Trump's "shithole countries" line and roll their eyes at people who think the way he speaks about Mexicans and immigrants is racist. Trump could walk down the street shooting people dead for sport and they'd be more fake angry by Omar quoting rap lyrics.

You aren’t a serious person.

I bet you don't take any issue with the amount of times Trump has been caught lying...over and over and over again to the American people. I bet you also don't take issue with the fact that he was caught paying hush money to a porn star he was having an affair with when Barron was just 4 months old. I bet you don't care that Fox News had this story before the election but sat on it because they wanted Trump to win. I bet you ignore the fact that Trump faked a medical condition of bone spurs he didn't even have to avoid serving this country only to blast McCain for getting caught and then feign anger over football players kneeling during the anthem when he's a cowardly pathetic draft dodger.

Who is not a serious person exactly? I'd say it's people that are brainwashed into being party line drones. I am very critical of members of both parties and I let voting records do the talking to see if they match my own personal values and opinions based on research. Voting record consistency doesn't lie. Most people here though would rather just lazily regurgitate Faux News Propaganda.

All of this stuff you don't care about but when Omar points out the lobby influence AIPAC, an Israeli lobby group focused on Israeli/US relations has by get this...lobbying...she is somehow being racist by pointing out that they...lobby. I bet you all also believe AOC wants to steal your cows, ban airplanes and make everyone become Vegan.

Will do.

I've read enough of your posts to understand your political beliefs. You clearly struggle to hold people from your own party to the same levels of scrutiny which you hold members of the opposite party. That makes you nothing more than a party line hack.

I've detailed positions and outlined points of my positions and in response you've avoided answering to things for which you have no answers. Instead, you deflect with a condecending one liner as if it isn't easily seen through.

That's fine, I knew what I was signing up for when I entered this conversation. This isn't exactly an impartial or objective audience.

You’ve “read enough of my posts that you understand my political positions”.

That’s the dumbest thing you’ve said yet.

I haven’t expressed a single political opinion in any conversation you’ve participated in.

My stance on Omar’s anti-semitism is a critique of her library of publicly held stances over the duration of her time in the public eye.  It’s not an opinion based on politics any more than my critique of David Duke.  My stance on both is disassociated with their preferred political positions.  They are both open and unrepentant racists.

My offering to you in the socialism thread is a philosophical and moral critique built around clearly defined and accepted terminology within those disciplines; once again not an opinion.  And I’ll note that you chose not to engage with it.

The rest of your list is a haphazardly concocted strawman.  You’ve asserted what my positions “clearly are”, and have labeled me a hypocrite because you’ve asserted that I hold them with no evidence other than your say-so; then proceeded to name yourself victor, followed up with the standard emptyheaded and self-congratulatory trope “I knew what I was getting in to.”

Do you have any idea how stupid you look right now?

Tell me more about these positions I hold.  Everyone here who knows my posting history could use a good laugh at your expense.

You don't believe what she's stated?

The question you need to answer is: are you better off today than 2+ years ago? It would be interesting to see how your own personal values and opinions are based on your research. What research?

It is obvious that you are a phony, not deserving of any serious conversation here. ***** off.

The leader of the self-hating Jews on the Omar controversy:

Funny that so many US conservatives seem to think that you're anti-semitic if you don't support Netanyahu's regime or call out Israel's disproportionate use of force on the Palestinians protesting in Gaza, as if that regime represents all Israelis.  In fact, it's quite possible that Bibi will lose the upcoming election due to all of those self-hating Jews in Israel...

Due to the Israel lobby, the U.S. does not know the truth about what is happening here. Congress members, senators and shapers of public opinion who are flown here ad nauseam see only Israeli victimhood and Palestinian terror, which apparently emerged out of nowhere. Islamists, Qassam rockets and incendiary balloons – not a word about occupation, expropriation, refugees and military tyranny. Questions such as where the money goes and whether it serves American interests are considered heresy. When talking about Israel one must not ask questions or raise doubts.

You seem to be oblivious to her pushing the "international Jewry" shtick popularized by the Nazis.

It's all there, from the "allegiance" claims to the purchasing of governments to the sub rosa control of the world economy.  She's not criticizing Israel.  She's demonizing Jews.

Yeah, I do not get it.

There seems to be a lot of Jews that stick with the Democrats. An anecdotal story is the only Jew I know who is not a Democrat is my MIL - and she passed away late last year.  I have quite a few relatives and friends who are Jewish (2% of the population yet makes up about 33% of my direct circle) and none can explain to me why they stick with the Democrats like glue.  I've heard some crazy-***** the last two years to try and explain it away (I told the story here about one of my BFFs whose son was worried that Trump was going to round him up and place him in a camp! And he was 11 at the time!!  Bibi's congrats video calmed him down. That was the worst because he was so young, but some of my very smart friends and relatives have come up with nearly equally nutty things.)

So, why do Jews stick with the Democrats in spite of policies and/or rhetoric that goes against their best interests? Maybe you can shed some light on that?

She is. So was Jim Jordan https://www.haaretz.com/us-news/top-democrat-blasts-republican-congressman-for-anti-semitic-attack-1.6984926 and all the people pushing the Soros conspiracies. There were also all those ads by Republicans in the midterms using money to smear Jewish candidates. Condemn them all!

Heck, all the anti-Muslim garbage that has infected even this board.

Frankly, I'm happy to see the left embrace Omar. I think it's amazing that the Donner Party is now clearly embracing antisemitism, racism, open borders, infanticide and an embarrassing climate plan written by a bartender who can't peel a potato and a guy who is laundering millions of dollars in her campaign donations to his own bank account.

Seriously. Keep up the good work.

Same here. It boggles the mind.

Identity politics is a cancer so bad it prevents the left from justifiably calling out a bigot as such simply because she's a Muslim woman of color.

Shame.

D1EcIc5X0AAceES.jpg

*She knows what those words mean

Giving aid and comfort to our enemies.

But she's a woman of color and a Muslim so she must be protected - not called out for what she is.

She literally compared the Army and the US to AQ... and now is on Foreign Affairs.
