There are plenty of doctors who speak out about needing late term abortions to save a mother's life.  Less than 1% of them, however

Whose payroll are they on?

Different organizations. Girlfriend sjowed me some articles to give a different view.  I disagree with her on this, needless to say.

The problem with saying the need for late term abortions to save the mothers lives is that you still have to remove the same amount of organic material. There is no point past 25 or so weeks where a cesarean can’t be done to either save the baby, or remove the body. The difference is that abortion makes sure that it’s dead.

Also, the biggest flaw in this is the argument that doctors are these unfailable, unreachable wise source that never gets it wrong. How many stories have you seen of doctors insisting on abortion for this reason or that, and the parents persist with the pregnancy and have a normal baby.

What's Cuomo's problem? People are just listening to him.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/24/governor-cuomo-conservatives-not-welcome-new-york

You’re seeing that play out in New York. … The Republican party candidates are running against the SAFE Act – it was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.

People like Cuomo baffle me. I don't understand how you can rise to the level of Governor, and not have a basic understanding of the difference between something lost and something  stolen.

How many here have worked for someone who look at high turnover, and constantly blamed other companies for poaching their workers?

Newsflash, Guv. It ain't Florida. It's you.

That's liberalism's effect on jobs..

Seriously. Think about this for a moment. The entire country stood in line begging for the new HQ. They pick an area of NY which, to my understanding, would benefit greatly from the investment. The city works around the clock to close the deal in one of the most expensive areas of the country...

...and a few far-left lunatic nutbags pissed the whole thing away.

These nutbags are a lot of things, but 'progressive' isn't one of them.

Brutally embarrassing for all things leftist today. Just brutal.

You've got to hand it to Bezos, though. He called their bluff and wasn't afraid to change his mind. Between the dick pix and this, he's clearly living in a world where he doesn't give a crap what people think of him.

Well said.

Now we'll see if he and NYS kiss and make up.  Hope not because the lesson here is highly valuable regardless of political leanings.
