From Southern Cal?

Okay, I'll smile and pretend you are smart, looking for the EXIT sign....

any answers as to why with 3 Time Outs they left the D to rot out there, 2 of them were passed out on the field, vomiting, before the snap for the winning run

This is pretty wild:

5 guys open for the most accurate, quickest reader of defenses QB ever? What a defensive scheme!! It almost looks like Sutton took a suitcase of money to throw the game with that kind of defense!

He was around for those pretty good Chiefs defenses no? I remember a couple of seasons where the defense carried the Alex Smith 0 WR TD offenses to pretty great regular season records when he had the right personnell.

Dontari Poe, Justin Houston, Tamba Hali, Eric Berry, Derrick Johnson.. defense and Alex Smith game management with Reid and Jamaal Charles making the offense tick just enough to complement the defense.

I don't think he's that bad a coordinator at all. Just had a much worse defense and a shootout offense overnight that made his defense function more as make-the-opposing-offense-score-less-than-your-50-TD-MVP-quarterback sort of defense. Which is a pretty terrible defense turns out. I bet some D coordinators work better with varying offenses. Some need more TOP.. some prefer a lead to force the other team to pass.

Sutton likely never really learned the ropes on protecting a juggernaut offense with poor personnell. Something Manning's Colts were able to salvage (sort of) with Mathis and Dwight Freeney pass rushing as their sole defensive game plan with man defense.

2006 Colts and 2019 Chiefs were actually VERY similarly built teams now that I look at the rosters.

Dave W had so many moments of unbelievable incompetence

at a presser before a home game he was asked if the kicker practiced off the baseball-path dirt on the field. He flew into a quick rage and stormed off over such a stupid question

of course his kicker biffed the winning gimme FGs off the dirt in the last seconds of the 4th and OT, another loss

Andy Reid didn’t call timeout when his defense needed it

Just before the Patriots scored the game-winning touchdown, Romo said, “You can see the defenders for Kansas City, they’re exhausted over there.” Nantz asked, “Don’t you think a timeout?” Romo answered, “That’s exactly right, Jim, that’s a great call. This would be a perfect time to do it. Give them a break.”

Instead, the Chiefs let the clock keep running, and the Patriots scored the game-winning touchdown.

Reid fired his defensive coordinator this week, but timeout usage comes within the purview of a head coach. Reid put his defense in a bad position, by saving three timeouts that he would never use.
