I also like that he hasn’t given up a sack in two years. Usually those type of guys become pro bowlers at the NFL level. A PFF darling as well. He's a home run of a pick if we can get him in the 2nd. 1

wppete Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Are they showing Day 3 practice on the NFL network today?

G, Chris Lindstrom could be the next guy up.
Magox Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Isabella my top WR in this years draft shining. Quote Who is the best wide receiver in Mobile? Massachusetts WR Andy Isabella (5-8 7/8, 186) received my vote entering the week, and he showed why during practice with explosive quickness to release and create his own separation. He did have a drop, and his small frame gives quarterbacks little margin for error, but Isabella’s athleticism was no match for the defensive backs attempting to cover him in space. South Carolina WR Deebo Samuel (5-11 1/2, 216) made a compelling case for the top spot Tuesday with strong hands and tracking skills, backing up his strong tape. Not to be forgotten, Buffalo WR Anthony Johnson (6-2 1/8, 211) is one of the more polished wideouts in Mobile this week. During one-on-ones, he did a nice job releasing off the line, hiding his intentions until the final moment and breaking away from the corner to work back and give his quarterback a window. His speed is best described as average, but he collects his feet quickly and doesn’t labor out of his breaks. Clemson slot WR Hunter Renfrow (5-10 3/8, 175) had arguably the least-impressive weigh-in, with little muscle and only 7 3/4-inch hands. As one scout behind me put it: “I used to look like that … in the sixth grade.” However, during practice, it was the same Renfrow whom we watched the past eight years at Clemson (OK, it was only four years). He used subtle quickness in his routes to create separation out of his breaks and was reliable finishing catches, often using his body. 1

I loved Johnson for a while, then cooled on him, but he measured in taller than I expected. I wouldn't hate to have him in the second or third.

I wouldn't mind having Jacobs with the first round pick and Isabella with the 2nd. I think they are both dynamic players who will instantly upgrade our offense. They are both playmakers.

I think his stock will rise, but people will still shy away due to size. 1

I happen to think if he has the capability of being a 100 reception 300-400 yard rusher player. I think he is extremely versatile and could be a feature player on some teams. If I am right with that, then he probably should truly be a first rounder. So, while I agree that he may not go as early as the 2nd round, I would not be opposed to getting him that early because in my view if he's available I wouldn't want to risk losing out on him hoping to nab him in the third. But that's me.

I wouldn't mind a big bodied guy like Harmon or Arcega-Whiteside (or Johnson even) in the second, and the Isabella in the third.
K-9 Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 The difference between last year’s QB class and this one is on full display. Lock looks like the best of the bunch, but that’s not saying much. 3

Fingers crossed Haskins, Murray and Lock all go in the top 10 this year. We are in a good position for trade down or have some stud defensive players drop to us at 9....
