Warcodered Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Be interesting how they fit everyone onto the team with a contract like that.
Nextmanup Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 KC better make hay while the sun shines. Gotta capitalize on his talent while he is working for cheap. 2
teef Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 I can always appreciate when an athlete gets an earned pay day. Good for him.
aceman_16 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Okay now... better win a ring while they can afford other players - wow!
Rc2catch Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 That’s quite a raise for one season. Well I guess it’ll be two seasons when he gets it. I am still not 100% sold he’s a yearly mvp candidate or going to be elite, but I will admit he’s better than I have given him credit for. I would still like to see how he performs if hill or kelce went down a few weeks. 1
BillyWhiteShows Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Somethings gotta give in KC. Mahomes, Hill, Ford, Jones among others are in line for new contracts. As Seattle proved, you can’t have that many huge contracts on one team after you resign the QB to a monster deal 1
whatdrought Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 If I was a Chiefs fan, I would want to make sure this continues for at least another year. If so, then lock him up.

gjv001 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Josh Allen will have the opportunity to surpass Mahomes. He will be a higher rated QB. 2 1
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Expected when eligible in 2020 Some guess work there Adam Isnt this a bit premature? 1
Kangaxx Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 That's a bad idea. They should definitely do that
Matty the Dustmop Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 While he certainly has had a great season lets not get ahead of the game...what happens if he gets hurt or turns out to be a one year or two year wonder?
wiskibreth Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 So, like, what if he's just having a fairy tale season and comes back down to earth next year and struggles a bit?

LSHMEAB Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Isn't this thread kind of pre-empting non stop Mahomes talk if the Chiefs win?

Then they pay him less? a 6 year 33 mill isn’t insane in recent pay scales. It’s a matter of guaranteed dollars and he’ll have 2 years to base those arguments on 1
