whatdrought Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 Sweet. Now that the offensive line is fixed we can focus on getting weapons. 2 1 26 1 2
buffaloboyinATL Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 good. we need some affordable depth for the powerhouse line Beane is about to build.
Freddie's Dead Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 I gave this a Meh a few weeks back. I'm OK with a 1-year deal. Let's see if he can develop.
Philo Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 By my eye he seemed like a reasonable depth player. Pretty sure roughly half the OL had their contracts up, so not too much of a surprise someone was signed to stick around for camp at least.
Mountain Man Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 Cheap, bottom of the roster depth, at multiple positions. Makes sense 2
MAJBobby Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 Cheap Depth that already knows the offense. No compliants here
BillyWhiteShows Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 Super Bowl baby!!!!!! Sirles didn’t play so when he was given a chance to play. If he makes the team, he’ll need to improve from last season. His versatility only comes into play with competent performances.
RobbRiddick Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 I like these little moves Beane is making. Obviously this is just depth, but it's one less thing he needs to go after in FA or the later rounds of the draft. He's getting his ducks in a row. If he re-signed Philips I'll be really pleased and all set for the start of FA

Logic Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 At times in 2018, the Bills carried as many as 10 offensive linemen on their 53 man roster. That's too many. Sirles provides depth at T, G, C, and can contribute as a 6th lineman in jumbo formations. I'm sure it was a cheap deal, is only for 1 year, and won't preclude them from upgrading the offensive line in free agency and the draft. 3
BuffaloHokie13 Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 I figured a 2 year deal, but 1 is perfectly fine too.
