Philo Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 I don't know enough about him to have an opinion, but I am sure people will tell me he's bad because of the Carolina connection 4 1 1 1
Virgil Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 They know there are other teams in the league to choose from, right? 6 9
CaptnCoke11 Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 I’m glad they are plucking a new upcoming guy from a good unit instead of the retreads 20 1
eball Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 "Carolina North" jokes aside I at least like the idea of this hire. Not a retread; a young, energetic, progressive coach. Can't do worse than Crossman, right? 13
NoHuddleKelly12 Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Even the boo on everything panthers crowd has to agree that this hire is an upgrade over Danny. 4 1
Captain Murica Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Panthers weren’t great but they were a much better ST unit than we were being 18th in ST DVOA compared us being dead last ?

CommonCents Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 It’s a special teams coach so I don’t care much about the Carolina connection being used again. I find it hard to believe that the best guy for the job was from the same place as the coach and GM, the 1/32 thing but bleh. If they sign Funchess I will probably lose all hope for the duo. 1

FeelingOnYouboty Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Connections to Beane, McDermott and Frazier. Don't know anything about the guy but here's hoping ST's is a net postive again for the Bills and not a negative.

Bray Wyatt Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Putting the Carolina connection aside (as its over blown imo), the guy sounds like the type of coach who would be a good ST guy. Lots of energy and hands on. Lets see how that translates to our roster

Especially one who was a special teams ace and knows all the ins and outs of actually playing special teams at a high level.
McBean Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 He’s from Carolina. It’s over. Let the fat lady sing.
tbarg12 Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 I like the hire, somebody new compared to a dinosaur. Don't know much about him, but the article was a good read. Really hands on, getting involved with the players, and trying actually see what the players see on the field.
