Sounds inadvertent to me. So of course, let's ruin a man for life.

"Martin Luther ***** Park" is inadvertent?

It just slipped out!

Yeah, b/c he's been saying that ***** he entire life, that's why it just slipped out.

People should be free to say what they want in this country, but then they should also be prepared to face the consequences of exercising that freedom.

I'm the last guy on earth to defend corporate America re: anything, but in this case, you can't blame them.  That's just how this country works in 2019.

You have a public speaking, spotlight job like that and call MLK "Martin Luther *****" you're going to lose your job.

Period.

If you talk for a living (or even if you don’t), sometimes things just come out wrong. Just friggin’ relax.

Yeah but not like this.

And you know that how, exactly??? Please, do tell.

Like the guy is going to intentionally get himself fired and ruin his life over something like this.

Although it’s happened a number of times without people losing their jobs. Hope you never make a mistake.

It's not random, it's mistakenly mashing King and junior together. Guy has no history of racism, and do you really think he's going to risk a 6 figure salary job? As has been pointed out, Greenie did pretty much the same thing, apologized and moved on with his life.

Mixing king and junior together was greenies excuse... I don’t think it’s fire worthy... but it MAKES NO SENSE

king+ JR doesn’t =***** phonetically and never has

its a slip of the tongue , not a blended word

a *****hound is a dog ?

Well I need to ask you, why on Earth would someone say that? What media figure goes on TV and says that out loud on purpose? As someone who used to make a living speaking live on radio, I can tell you people misspeak all the time. C#nt when you meant count, f#ck instead of funk. It happens. It sounded like a misfire to me instead of a deliberate attempt at a racial slur.

If you know me at all, you know I'm no PPP type, but I'm sticking up for the weatherman here.
