15-17 Overall Record

4-8 in AFC East

1 Playoff Appearnce and 0-1 in Playoffs

Whoops that is Coach McDermotts Record.

actually in Miami Gase through two seasons was

16-16 Overall Record

6-6 in AFC East

1 Playoff Appearnce and 0-1 in Playoffs

Just two sides of the same coin.

This is the same BS that keeps Jim Caldwell circling the NFL head coaching tent.

Sucess as an offensive coach when Peyton Manning is playing QB is the biggest forest for the trees in the NFL in the last 20 years.

Not a bad argument, but it misses due to the fact that the dolphins were supposed to be competitive at that time. They were (in theory) meant to be a good team, while the bills were meant to be rebuilding.

Not to say your argument doesn’t have merit, but it’s worth noting that it’s not a 1 for 1 conversation.

The players had the talent they just had poor character and that is on the GM

It may not be on the GM - it maybe that North Cuba is just corruptive to character and it should be nuked and started over.

Culter only unretired and went there because he was coach.  He was hoping for one more bounce before he went back to broadcasting.

Honestly, regardless of how he performs, the worst part of this is that we now have to continue to look at this creepy looking dude 2x a year.

seriously, he looks like someone who isn’t allowed around playgrounds.

McDermott isnt a bad coach and neither is Gase.  Gase needed to clean house even more than he did but didnt have the support of a good front office like McD does.

I literally laughed when it popped up on my phone. I can only imagine what the Jets fans are thinking I would be pissed.

Probably what we were thinking when we hired Wrex.

ha! How’s it feel now, suckers? ??

An interesting question... has hiring a same division re-tread ever worked for anyone?

I was actually excited when we hired Rex, said all the things Jets are talking themselves into now about how he beat the Pats a few times, made the playoffs, knew the division. I was so naive.

Gase is like the punch line of the worst joke you ever heard. You want to forget it but it's so bad that you can't.  His offense was a joke all year.  After he was successful in getting rid of his best receiver (Landry), he proceeded to feed the ball to Frank Gore in one of the most predictable offenses in the league.  Once in a while he'd give a touch to K. Drake, who would break off a huge scoring play.  Drake was easily the most explosive player on the offense but was greatly underutilized.  Gase couldn't seem to figure that out.  I'm glad he's with the Jets.  Like some other's, I'm glad they didn't hire McCarthy.
