RalphWilson'sNewWar Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 15-17 Overall Record 4-8 in AFC East 1 Playoff Appearnce and 0-1 in Playoffs Whoops that is Coach McDermotts Record. actually in Miami Gase through two seasons was 16-16 Overall Record 6-6 in AFC East 1 Playoff Appearnce and 0-1 in Playoffs Just two sides of the same coin.
whatdrought Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 (edited) This is the same BS that keeps Jim Caldwell circling the NFL head coaching tent. Sucess as an offensive coach when Peyton Manning is playing QB is the biggest forest for the trees in the NFL in the last 20 years. 2 minutes ago, RalphWilson'sNewWar said: 15-17 Overall Record 4-8 in AFC East 1 Playoff Appearnce and 0-1 in Playoffs Whoops that is Coach McDermotts Record. actually in Miami Gase through two seasons was 16-16 Overall Record 6-6 in AFC East 1 Playoff Appearnce and 0-1 in Playoffs Just two sides of the same coin. Not a bad argument, but it misses due to the fact that the dolphins were supposed to be competitive at that time. They were (in theory) meant to be a good team, while the bills were meant to be rebuilding. Not to say your argument doesn’t have merit, but it’s worth noting that it’s not a 1 for 1 conversation. CommonCents Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Shocking! It seemed like Mike M. had the inside track for this opening. Is he the odd man out now?

whatdrought Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Honestly, regardless of how he performs, the worst part of this is that we now have to continue to look at this creepy looking dude 2x a year. seriously, he looks like someone who isn’t allowed around playgrounds.
Buffalo_Gal Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Should be interesting to see if Miami's issues were Gase or Tannehill. Time will tell.

McDermott isnt a bad coach and neither is Gase. Gase needed to clean house even more than he did but didnt have the support of a good front office like McD does. 1

Florida Bills Fanatic Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Gase is like the punch line of the worst joke you ever heard. You want to forget it but it's so bad that you can't. His offense was a joke all year. After he was successful in getting rid of his best receiver (Landry), he proceeded to feed the ball to Frank Gore in one of the most predictable offenses in the league. Once in a while he'd give a touch to K. Drake, who would break off a huge scoring play. Drake was easily the most explosive player on the offense but was greatly underutilized. Gase couldn't seem to figure that out. I'm glad he's with the Jets. Like some other's, I'm glad they didn't hire McCarthy.
