Reed, Champ Bailey and Tony Gonzalez are 1st time finalists. HOF class will be announced Feb 2 1
BuffAlone Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Atwater, Gonzales,Lynch and Reed should get in this year. Maybe even Boselli. The rest( with all due respect to Mawae) can wait another year. How many are inducted every year by the way? Is there a limit? 1
whatdrought Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 I can’t tell if they’re letting lesser players in, or if it’s just because they lose some of the legend status when you grew up watching them... Richard Seymour seems like a stretch to me. 2
qwksilver Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 (edited) In today's NFL where its all passing, Don "Air Coryell" has to get in. His charger teams were fun too watch. Champ, Gonzalez & Reed should be locks. Boseli only played 6 years. Is that enough? He was excellent in that time. Edited January 4, 2019 by qwksilver 3

qwksilver Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Just now, BuffAlone said: And I understand yours. But Atwater was better at his position, than Champ was at his. Again, just my opinion I have no problem with Atwater, but with 1 safety as a "lock" i'm not sure 2 get in the same year. We we will see.

We we will see. Agreed. However, I think Atwater was better than Reed. Don't know the stats, but he was a better thumper back in the day when we didn't pass as much. Probably got less int's than Reed, but that wasn't really his role back then Edit...24 ints to Reeds 64! Holy crap Reed was great! Edited January 4, 2019 by BuffAlone 1 1
OrtonHearsaWho Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 That's quite a list. I'm surprised that there isn't any love for Isaac Bruce. He was a beast before Kurt Warner and after him. I would have him along with Gonzalez, Bailey, Reed, Lynch and Coryell. I honestly didn't start REALLY following football until the mid 90s so I don't know enough about Atwater, but I know enough of the history of the game to know what Coryell meant to the modern passing game.
Big Turk Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 (edited) Reed, Gonzalez and Bailey should be first ballot locks I would think...at least Reed and Gonzalez...Bailey you might be abke to make a case against being a first ballot player but I wouldnt buy it... ProcessAccepted Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Once Tasker is off the list I check out. It's a bit ridiculous.
BillsfaninChicago Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Ever since Thurman didn’t make it the first year he was eligible I find the Hall of Fame process an absolute joke. This looks pretty legit though. Hopefully Tasker gets in one of these days.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Coryell should have been in long ago. 2
wiskibreth Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Flores needs to be in there. 3x Superbowl champion (once as a player, twice as a coach) and he's been a Bill. If that's not deserving, I don't know what is...
