Right he was not active. Bad sign for him. They played Mike Love instead.

When this guy takes your playing time, you know it's over.

How quickly we forget Garrison Sanborn and his majestic redbeard

Let's not forget that the Bills have not been to the Super Bowl since Sanborn (and his glorious mane) was cut. FIRE EVERYONE!

So this got me wondering.  What is the reason that they don't convert another lineman on the active roster to long snapper to save a roster spot?  Is it that the skill set is so difficult to learn or is it that too much practice has to go into that spot, which would take away from that players "main" job?  I am assuming long snapper is a specialist for every team, not just an additional duty for another player on the roster.  Does anyone use an actual position player (not just one in title) rather than a specialist?

Listed as breaking news on BB.com  Maybe he agreed to terms but just got around to signing today.

Sorry for the duplicate post.

Not a problem, I was just wondering why the big difference in time between his tweet and the Bills news.

Glad we got this done. Wouldnt want to risk losing him and having to draft a LS in the 1st.  We could easily replace Jordan Phillips with a 6th rounder.?

I believe in the power of good sarcasm. I also believe that you failed at it.

An effort was made. Thank you for your efforts.

I had never even heard of Reid Ferguson, which is probably the highest compliment you can pay your team's long snapper.

Well there have been long snappers who recovered fumbles by RBs (as an example) and on a play like that you are glad to hear your long snapper's name.

Someday and team will find a long snapper who can also play center and that will be a very useful slot even if the long snapper only plays center when center is injured.

It wasn't in question whether it was or wasn't sarcasm. What was in question was the quality of the sarcasm used. Heretofore I shall not judge.

He definitely regressed. I don't think he is long for this roster. I hope he did not get complacent.

I for one am not super happy with the defensive line coaching. The drop off for Waufle to Teerlink is massive. I'd like to see some more experience brought in there.

What drop off are you referring to? There wasn't a drop off in production. The dline was better this past season than the one before (which got no pressure on the QB and was horrible against the run.)
