Mickey Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 Thank the gods we finally have a franchise long snapper! 2 2
boyst Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 Long snapping is a ***** art. If you've never done it then you really have no idea just what it takes to perform in a game. On a fake punt or kick when you have to alter that snap just a hair and not give it away is ***** miserable anticipation.

Wikipedia tells me the Eagles traded him to the Saints last year, the post trade physical showed he had an aortic aneurysm and he immediately had to retire, but the Eagles gave him an honorary Super Bowl ring so that's cool.

Is there any other reason he would be at the stadium other than a contract signing?

Best job in sports/ possibly the world (assuming you don’t have a crucial bad snap). 2

His playing time dropped a lot throughout the season and he was inactive week 17 Yarbrough is a hard working player with a good attitude, but he's limited athletically. As Beane builds the talent level of the team, fringe players like Yarbrough are going to be replaced by better ones. The player I wonder about is Trent Murphy. He clearly underperformed his contract this past season, but from appearances that was mostly due to nagging injury issues. Beane needs to decide if 2018 was just a bad year for him as he tried to come back from a major injury or he's just going to have chronic injury issues. Edited January 3, 2019 by TigerJ
