I don't think he'll make it to our pick.  To me, he's the closest thing to Mack since Mack was drafted.  I think he has that kind of ability.  I see him going to the Jets or Raiders.

I would be happy with either pick because I know that we need a lot of help on the offense and if we end up upgradding our O Line and the offense becomes that much better Allen, Shady and the WR will shine, we just need the offense to be Top 15 to be consider contender in my opinion.

Know if you tell me he is like K Mack... then I definitly be all over!

I don't think he has teh power of Mack, he's got some similarities to Von Miller, but not quite as refined a pass rusher.

Allen is longer and leaner, I see him as a more athletic Jason Taylor type of player.

Please from you guys that follow the college players more closely than I do.

We do need a pass rush specialist at some point, and if ones not available in FA...

If he somehow drops to 9, we should sprint to the podium to ***** our second first round Josh Allen in as many years.

Edit: wow, i'm shocked that word would be censored as it even took me a sec to remember there was an alternate, vulgar meaning for it (although that usage did provide one of the funniest lines in Heathers)

Josh Allen won't be there at 9.

But if there's any other defensive player that they really love at 9, I'm fine with them taking him. It's not as if our defense is the '85 Bears. If you can upgrade the defense and you don't feel there's a comparably talented offensive player available, take the defensive guy.

BPA. BPA. BPA.

Despite the defense finishing highly in the rankings this season, anyone who watched the games knows that the D had trouble shutting down the run when opposing teams were smart enough to stay with it (See: 2nd Pats game). Also, the D had a habit of giving up late-game TDs when trying to cling to leads (See the first Miami game and the second Jets game). Zo is getting older, and Kyle is now retired.

Bottom line: despite obvious needs on the offensive side of the ball, the Bills could certainly stand to shore up the defense as well.

I think we do need to take one of these stud front 7 players with our first pick.  I mean, this draft is loaded at the top with impact defenders IMO.  You have Bosa, Q Williams, Allen, Oliver, Ferrell, Gary, and on and on...

Tons of depth at WR to get a good one in round 2- a guy like Ridley, Samuel, Harry, M.Brown, Harmon...

Hopefully we can get some O-line help in free agency and later in the draft.  I don't want one early in this draft.

I’m all for defense at 9 as there isn’t an offensive player that stands out.  I’d rather trade back and get that tight end, but eh.

They could go DT, OLB, DB and I’d be okay.  If they don’t extend Hughes or Shaq, I could see a rotational pass rusher as well.

The only thing with this kid is I get nervous about smaller school players at high skill positions.  Mack aside, I think they play against inferior talent

Beane has stated publicly, that he does not/will not draft for need. BPA. If he's there and we don't have a good trade-down offer, then hell yeah. Take him.

Great.  Sign some run-stuffing DTs and LBs in free agency.  They are very inexpensive and they're easy to find.  Do not use the 9th overall pick on this.  We need offensive playmakers and O-linemen.  Period.

I love Josh Allen and think he's a great fit as a Sam/DE on passing downs, and younger faster better Lorax.

They finally let Tremaine rush the passer last week and he got a nice sack. I think Allen provides that same type of versatility. Unfortunately he probably winds up on the Jets, which sucks.

Josh Allen is far and away a much better prospect than Jonah Williams. If we had the choice between a right tackle and game changing, elite edge player, and choose the tackle, we lost the draft.

Yeah, he's not gonna be there at 9. He's too good for that to happen given the position he plays.

I would have to know if he can put his hand in the dirt and rush from end successfully. If he can be dynamic and versatile like a Khalil Mack and play standing up or hand down, then yes. If he lacks that versatility, I would prefer someone like Ferrell or one of the other pure DE's.

I agree with others who say it is unlikely he lasts till 9, but it's a bit too early to predict all of that. If he's there, I am fine taking him.

This guy is one example of going back to school being worth it. He could have been a late first round pick last year, and now he's looking at a top 5 pick.

The three D-linemen on clemson not named Ferrel are examples of going back to school being bad for draft stock.
