MJS Posted December 31, 2018 Share Posted December 31, 2018 (edited) Taking a look at yards per pass completions, Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, and Baker Mayfield are all in the top 10 with 12 or more yards per completion. These rookie QB's are slinging the ball down the field. It's fun to see a class of young guys come in and push the ball down the field. Mahomes, Goff, and Watson are also in the top 10 in this metric. The QB's from the past couple of drafts seem to be willing to take risks and make big chunk plays. I had been wondering the past few years who would replace the current and former crop of elites like Brady, Manning, Brees, and Roethlisberger. There had been a big gap for many years, in my opinion. I think we are seeing a young crop of future elites emerging. Obviously it is too soon to know about the rookies, but I like what I see so far.
