Buffalo_Gal Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 I think (hope) his being the #1 QB going into training camp will also help with the timing and repetitions he needs. I thought he was "better" yesterday from 5-10, not so hot from 10-20, and as always, a joy to behold even when he didn't connect at 20+. However, I don't sit back and analyze the game - I just enjoy or curse it as it is happening - so the game film may tell a totally different story than my memory. Either that or his receivers were finally helping him out a bit. ? 1

If we had even an average number of drops this year, his completion % would have been just fine. Especially if you consider the true drops, and not just the ones that are official. Andrew Luck had all day to throw last night and even missed some guys, along with throwing a pick 6. It happens, and Luck has one of the best OL’s in the NFL, with a running game and TY Hilton.
oldmanfan Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Lot of it is timing. I hope Josh invites the WRs to Wyoming or wherever this offseason for some extra work

This off season and TC next summer will be all about getting Josh ready for the 2019 season. The three QB competition last summer was a disaster and the staff wound up not having a QB going into the season. I expect Allen to take a step forward next season with hopefully a new WR (or two) to work with, as well as a better OLine which will be the most important factor. It will also be a positive having a known backup in Barkley; so finally, it looks like the QB position will be more stable going forward.
