bobs0108 Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 This is fine. It gives Josh ability to grow and learn from his mistakes. I want a win today but it’s ok if they don’t win. Probably better to lose in the long run. 1

Yep... especially with the safety playing up that far up in the middle of the field - something they have seen with that Bills alignment and route that made them feel they could jump it. I also don't like those out routes if there is cover 2 zone - just an automatic jump the route and a short trip to TD.
DuckyBoys Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Yep I don't think Mcdermott can coach any other way. Jauron Jr. 1

I'm mad McD called timeout before the dolphins first TD on 3rd down. The Bills were immediately in the backfield but for some reason he needed a TO there? After a momentum changing penalty too. He stops and let’s their O get a breather. 1

NBD there seems to to be a ton of people on this board under the assumption the Bills are so good that they should be blowing teams out week after week. Weird. No I just expect basic common sense. That series was a result of very poor game management, no way around that. 1

letsgoteam Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 I dont mind that we tried to throw the ball at the end of the second qtr. Where it all went wrong is the fact the Bills played so conservative in the second qtr. I think it is a domino theory, if the Bills dont play so conservative the entire second qtr, I doubt there is a pick 6, I doubt its 14-14. 1

You are supposed to be an NFL punter and you manage a 32 yard and 35 yard punt on back to back opportunities. Pathetic. Get that guy out of here. The punter is only here cause Schmidt 'schmidt the bed' and the rookie they took from the Pat's is on IR, he isnt the future or more then a fill in right now

What part of this are you struggling with? Edited December 30, 2018 by Mr. WEO 1

A 5 yard pass to the middle of the field is not aggressive, it is stupid. Running the ball 3 times in a row would have been gutless but being stupid is worse. 3 2
Dr.Sack Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Good now we have a reason to tune in for the second half. Can Allen recover from his rookie blunder & can our OL get anything going for the running game? I don’t know if I’m confident in either. But I know Kyle Williams wants the W.
Watkins90 Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 1 minute ago, DuckyBoys said: Bad decision by Josh but a very questionable play call at best. I'd rather they throw it deep and its just a punt. They haven't even tried throwing down field and with no run game Miami will sit on everything short. Daboll needs to do better Play calling entire 2nd quarter was predictable slow paced and terrible Jones was streaking down the sideline deep. There were other routes he could have looked at.
njbuff Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 The Dolphins were heading for the bus. I blame this conservative play calling crap as to why this game is tied. Blame Allen for a bad throw too, but it would have never happened had this coaching staff stayed aggressive. 4
Livinginthepast Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 1 minute ago, HappyDays said: The decision to throw is not the issue. It's where we threw that makes no sense. The best possible result was a 6 yard gain and the clock keeps running with 40 seconds to go and one timeout. All risk and zero reward. If we threw a pick downfield it wouldn't matter. Just a weird series all around. Exactly, throw it deep down the field and keep the Dbs honest instead a short pass into double coverage. If the coaches make that idiotic decision in a game that doesn't matter what will they do when they are in a high stress playoff game?

That 2nd quarter was absolutely embarrassing. 14-0 in a meaningless game and the guy goes into a shell when he should be developing his young QB and actually TRY to score more points. It’s the 2nd quarter!! Embrassing by him and Daboll honest;ly the bills do this over and over--and there are many to blame...they get a few easy scores then they spend the last 2/3 of the games meandering around and doing nothing.a bit tyrodlike. I find that more disturbing than Allens lack of consistent accuracy. 1

whatdrought Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 How is it hard to realize that it can be stupid to run, and also stupid to call that specific pass play? Also, the coaching gets crap for the three other conservative bs drives in the second quarter. 1
Beast Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 People whine and cry about coaching. Guess what? People have whined and cried about every coach the whole history of the Buffalo Bills existence. You know what we have in common? We are no different than every other fan base.
