billsfan_34 Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Love this post! Well thought out- Going into the draft, like I have said before- grab a beast mode RB- look to release Ivory or Murphy if that happens.

The Now Moment Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 I think you need to be a little more realistic. You have selected some of the top free agents on the market at their positions. Buffalo isn't going to draw all of them. No team ever does. They will have to find some lower profile players as well and hope that they fit well here. Like Jordan Poyer.

No, but I would object to Jonathan Cooper, ya dig? 5 hours ago, CaptnCoke11 said: What’s everyone’s infatuation with Tyrell Williams? Slim pickings. It's how mistakes are made. Lasting mistakes.

I see him a lot like former Bills FA signee Quinn Early.........a big, decent downfield specialist who put up good numbers elsewhere so we think putting him in a #1 role here he might even improve on them.........but in reality, probably not. I don't see anything there that indicates a guy with a lot more to give. For the right price, sure. But for the $10M per he might command he will quickly become a whipping boy here, IMO.

I'm not looking for a #1 in free agency, nor am I wanting to spend draft capital on an aging Julio Jones or AJ Green. I'm of the thinking that having a number of solid threats like Tyrell Williams, Hakeem Butler, Robert Foster, Zay Jones and Isaiah McKenzie give us a flexible WR group, add Hockenson the TE from Iowa and solid pass receiving RB's make it difficult for defenses to focus their coverage on. Teams can stop a classic #1 WR, by double teaming or safety over the top. But with my WR group, who are you gonna focus your attention on.

But we need other things and there are almost no WRs or RBs in FA There aren’t any legit #1 WRs or RBs but there are a bunch of #3 type WRs. I’d be happy with one or two WRs in FA plus 1-2 in the draft. Add them to Foster, Zay and McKenzie gives us our 6 WRs. Rb is hard to pinpoint at the moment as shady and ivory are currently under contract next year. There are several RBs in the draft that I’d like to see in a Bills uni. The only FAs I like are Ingram, AP (just love watching him run the ball). On the cheap I’d be ok with Cj Anderson, yeldon and tevin Coleman, buy I’d prefer to grab a rb in the draft. I really think we’re set up to trade down in the draft and stockpile picks while not spending money frivolously setting us up for sustained success as opposed to becoming the 2018 jaguars. I’m of the opinion that Beane and McD will be here beyond 2019, which allows them to play that hand.
