Per the team on Twitter

Thank you Kyle for showing everybody what dedication, hard work and positive attitude can help achieve. While we always hoped it will be "one more year" , it is totally understandable. Happy retirement. Thank you for your contributions.

I thought he kept saying he’d wait til after the season?

Probably decided it was time and wanted to give the fans a heads up so that he can play his last home game the right way. I really hope he stays involved with the organization going forward.

Spread just jumped to Bills -10

(ok, not really, but anyone who thinks the Fish have a chance in this one are fooling themselves)

Put him on the wall

Not before the all time leader interceptions and punt return TD versus the chargers.

He needs to stay around the team in some capacity. He would be a tremendous coach and his lockerroom speeches make players wanna run through a wall for him

If he wants to coach, I'm sure he would give it his all.  But I think he's the kind of guy who doesn't make those speeches unless he's out there giving it his all.

Ya never know. Defensive lineman have a hard time getting there, sure. But if there is one DL that would deserve it in recent memory, i would say it is him.

Who can forget Kyle's epic swim showdown with Marshawn Lynch?

The man is just an all around great athlete.

Well, that's one event I could've beat either one of those dudes at the same age. So I got that going for me, which is good.
