The avocado enemas will not help Brady next year. The arm dies slowly, like the rest of us. It’s just a fact.

But the AFC East is so easy that all you need to do is rush for 275 yards per game & its 6-0 in the East, and find a way to win 4 of 10 to clinch the AFCE.

It appears Darnold is legit. Maybe the Jets challenge NE in 2019, but certainly by 2020 it’s no longer the Pats division under Brady.

I’m a bit more hopeful, but the end is near.

Jets will be a lot better next year if they hire the right coach to replace Bowles.

They can easily flip the script next season with the way Darnold is playing.

Bills can do the same same but I don't have much faith in McBeane to pull it off.

McBeane is hindered by two things; a lack of willingness of free agents to play in “Siberia” and an offense that is so lacking in talent it will hinder playmakers from signing. The weather isn’t conducive to offensive prowess & having an inaccurate QB further hinders willingness to come to B’lo. My thinking is they build the lines by getting the best talent money can buy & draft a TE & WR to further bolster the weapons for Allen.

Gotta hope for some magic from the jets and Houston to screw up thier bye.

That would be nice

Bill Parcells always believed most games weren't won they were lost...

He taught Belichick how to keep options open and change tactics as the game unfolded

can’t think of more than 3 other coaches who have done this the last 45 years in sports

Almost all the rest have a plan and hope it works

Possibly, it is also possible That Brady isn’t 100% right now.  Another possibility is his second favorite weapon is a shell of his former self in Gronk, and he basically has White and Edelman to throw to.

That said the Pats ran for almost 300 yards today against one of the better run D in the league.. so we don’t need Brady throwing for 400 yards with that..

The assertion that in another year or so he shouldn’t be competing is pretty fair. He’d be 43 during the regular season 2 years from now

Any QB could hand it off to crush the Bills like  today, Brady leaving won’t help Buffalo at this rate

Need to overpay.

And they have the money to do it. They need to have an aggressive mentality this offseason. Any other philosophy would be unacceptable.

They can't afford to sit on their hands.

I’m not in the FO but history has proven we never get playmakers in their prime. Our best bet is to target OLinemen & DLinemen that can improve the results of games like today.

Brady looks shakier than he ever has.  He may be hurt, but hurt is part of getting old and not getting hurt was part of bradys mystique.  At 40, injuries are chronic, dont heal, and compound.  Add all the extra rehab work to a guy who already seemingly had a foot out the door, and i dont know.

I'm not seeing much out of Harrison Phillips either. Hopefully he gets stronger in the offseason, but he's low impact right now. Jordan Phillips ghosted this game as well.

The defensive line MUST be addressed.

This is Brady's last hurrah. I hope he comes back to be entirely honest. Gronk too.

Watching Gronk attempt to run this season has been crazy. I'd love for them to comeback, I'm starting to get the feeling they won't and we will never get to see the Bills just beat up on them.

I really really hope I'm wrong.

It was strange watching him today. He looked like he was playing without his usual fire and emotion. Maybe he has realized that this is the last year for him.

Yup. Tom is just chucking the ball to empty turf rather than absorb a hit. He’s definitely in protect-his-body mode which I can’t totally blame him.  His ability to make plays under pressure has really diminished

Hes done that for the last 10 years.  He gets away with a lot of intentional grounding.  I still remember the last game against him with Schwartz as our D cord.  His completion percentage was crap and they pulled him quick.  I felt there were many times in that first quarter he should have been flagged.  I would say hes done because a lot of his fanboy refs are retiring.

Lol as long as the games at home I like the Pats chances.. heck I even like our chances if we face KC in KC since their D is awful!

Also DVOA Had you ranked 2nd in passing D.. so your statement based on stats seems be false..

Granted this is an if.

If Allen continues to improve over the offseason and we improve the Oline and get a good RB.  You guys are toast.  Even if Brady bounces back.

And then You can enjoy the next 10-18 years after that while your team gets smacked around by NYJs and Bills.

Trust me it sucks falling from such a lofty purch and NEs is a high one.

It doesn’t matter.  Belichick is showing no signs of decline.  He can easily beat the Clapper even with Brian Hoyer.

Bill made Sean look like a child. He ran the same jet sweep or D gap run and there was no one out there to tackle.  Brady didn't even need to throw one pass today to beat us. This was probably Sean McDermott's worst game as a coach.

HAHA, and Houston loses in the final seconds.

Brady is on his way to another SB, lol.

I don't think they are good enough to win two in a row against playoff teams.

The last play of last week's game showed that. He put his whole body in that throw, even ended up on the ground, and all that for a 30yd toss.

Lol I loved threw the patsy years when if they went .500 it felt like an accomplishment.  I also don’t think the Jets will win ANYTHING any time soon.  Thankfully they are run very very poorly..

I’ll cheer for my team even when they go 1-15. (And they will someday do that..) it’s a game, enjoy the good times and remember in the bad times it isn’t life or death but entertainment.

Am I the only one who suspects that BB is retiring or leaving the Patriots either after this season or next?  I can't help wondering what he told McDaniels that made him turn down a head coaching job that he had already accepted.  My guess is that he said, "Hang around here another year or two, and you can be coaching the Patriots."

McDaniels turned down the indy job because him in chris ballard were already butting heads over the strength and conditioning department.

BB already stated he is not ready to retire.
