I have no idea how to judge if Josh Allen is a promising QB because his receivers are such garbage that I can’t tell if they are the problem or not on individual plays.

It's man ACROSS the field, that means every receiver is getting man coverage. You look for the best match up and route combo. You don't go to their best CB and a long shot route.

 

I think you need to look at what you are saying.
