IMO, the one thing the CFB playoffs has spot lighted is that 2-3 teams every year separate themselves from the rest of the programs. Note, this was the same way pre-CFB playoffs, but the playoffs have made it more visible. So instead of accepting reality, the current cry is to expand the playoffs. Yet, nobody can give a logical rationale why including even weaker teams will fix the problem. people just want more football games on TV, they want games to "mean something" the sports model for TV is that the more you bring you more $$$ you make and increase the value of everyone with a piece of the pie tons of these economic axioms have fallen to the dust the last decade Quote

This hit was the textbook example for bye-bye, from Opening Night... ------------------- it's interesting how the secondary in college has adapted to the 15-yard max PI call and takes out the receiver gladly on 40 yard routes, saw it more than usual during this bowl run. Looks like they are thinking the same: 1 Quote
row_33 Posted January 9, 2019 Posted January 9, 2019 College ends the play when the man is down no matter if the D caused it, so completing the hit on a defenseless man is far worse in college.. But still at most 1/3 the power that a real hit in the NFL delivers. Quote

SOS is the argument made by people whose main desire is too keep the big five in control. Truly that argument is built by people who simply do not want to actually work to check out all the true contenders. ??? see what happened when the Notre Dame was undefeated and played Clemson? Now imagine a team that was also undefeated, with far less talent that couldn’t beat LSU. What would the score be in that semifinal? Quote
