You guys are going to regret this the next time he is asked to play close to a full game that counts. ;)

Who are these "you guys" you speak of ? Aren't we all in this together ?

Good move! Josh Allen has said many times how much Barkley and Anderson have helped him.

I say re-sign Anderson to a similar deal and focus on other areas going forward.

Id rather hire him as an assistant QB coach. No need to waste a roster spot and cap room.

With the exception of Benjamin, Beane appears to be quite adept when it comes to selection and signing up of low draft picks and free agents. This is another good move IMO. Happy to have Barkley on board.

For Derek Anderson a nice 3rd string contract to make a couple million bucks for another year or two as a mentor and hopefully not playing it taking hits us a good gig

Not a bad idea!

Crazy as it sounds could you have him be a coach but if emergency struck have him suit up as a player?

He's played one game.  Must really like what they saw with him in practice and meetings.

Some or alot of it is probably the positive attitude, mentoring Allen etc.

Very good extension but truth be told, it wasnt like Beane actively sought him out early. We stumbled across him when we were woefully short on QBs.

Agree, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a combo of what they have observed in terms of chemistry between Allen and Barkley, they may have asked Allen about it, and what they see skill-wise in Barkley.

Good move!  Although, I believe his options after this year may have been very slim.

Don't know that his options would have been slim.  Good backups willing to mentor and help mold a starter are not growing on trees.
