Well guess what folks, it ain't "free", and they only have individual plans - i.e., NO FAMILY plans.   https://www.medicare.gov/your-medicare-costs/part-a-costs   Most retirees don't pay Medicare Part A premiums because they worked more than 30 quarters and paid into the system.   Pretty much ANY person who hasn't paid in for that amount of time has to pay Medicare Part A premiums as outlined below.
