17years&waiting Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 Happy Birthday! As far as retiring his number: he would probably be the next player whose number I would want the Bills to retire. But that would probably be the last one, for now. Number retirement should be few and far between, and only for the very best. Billy probably makes that cut. While the team has, in my opinion, lowered the bar for Wall of Fame enshrinement, jersey retirement has remained very privileged. I hope it remains that way. 1

I come to bat for him on this message board all the time. Bills have forgotten about him. Sad. Chandler 81, nobody here talks hardly about the pre Kelly days. I used to go to the rockpile and was on the sidelines for the very last game versus the lions. Robert L. smith was my neighbor who was on the sidelines all the time was the bills chief photographer who got me on the field. 1

If someone asked me to name the most dominant three since; players who were so much better that they demanded staying away from, or dealing with...... OJ.....He was on a different planet. Robert James.....Simply idiotic to ever throw at his coverage, and nobody did. Bruce Smith....Never has one man been blocked by so many for so long. Impossible to handle one on one, when he was interested. 2

Those were some good football players, and Shaw too. I'm proud to keep his name on display. 2
