Thriftygamer83
Anybody else think Joshua Huffman would make for a feel good story as a rotational defensive back in the seventh round? Was just scouting through the mock draft thread and local players and found out he’s from Buffalo playing for UMaine Black Bears. Not exactly expecting world beaters but figured in the late seventh round he and Manny Patterson would be a good cohesive secondary in rotation together both coming out from a 10-3 UMaine team which is dominating its conference so far. TigerJ
I don't know what his personal stats are this season, but prior to this year his stats have been underwhelming. Kids from lower level college programs do make it in the NFL, but you look for players who have outstanding physical attributes, or kids who have dominated at their level of comptetion. Huffman has neither going for him.

UMaine doesn’t really showcase what it has under the hood sometimes so scouting locally can be an issue. Live closer to Bates than Orono; a small Ivy League school which is 0-8 so not even going to bother taking a look there. Okay, okay I scoured them they got one bright spot in the secondary. Kid who doesn’t quit or give up. https://www.gobatesbobcats.com/sports/fball/2018-19/releases/20181120ikckga Edited December 15, 2018 by Thriftygamer83
