The Trump Shutdown

That Newsroom clip is intellectually vacant and easily broken down. It is devoid of substance.

The funniest thing about lefties posting it is that it makes the now racist claim that America was great at some point in the past but has since declined. Hence the need to make America great again.

Five minutes with Sorkin is all one would need to determine that he should never be held up as a source for anything other than fantastic dialogue and fictional storytelling.

(Trump on why he hasn't declared an emergency yet to do the wall himself)

Well, if the shutdown continues, we can turn off the water in the Whitehouse :D

Should be every federal government building.

Targeting just the White House is petty and partisan, and perpetuates the conflict.  Targeting all the federal buildings in default is far, legally justifiable, and would be enough of a pain point to get all the children to stop their bickering and start playing nicer together.

Without working water a job site is deemed unsafe due to OSHAA,as well. Good luck with having Federal building be condemened and trying to get the ball rolling.

Why do you believe this?

Because that's what Hillary and Elizabeth Warren said and they would NEVER lie to us.

When asked Trump said he didn't pay taxes because he's smart.  Makes sense.

My point.  That'll kick Trump and Congress in the ass.

"Why don't you just do what House Democrats tell you to do?"

"Because that isn't 'negotiation.'"

"Don't attack me!"

So, now you're quoting Liawatha and Crooked Hillary? I think you are misquoting Trump.

Wow, that didnt last long...

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/01/09/trump-calls-meeting-with-chuck-schumer-and-nancy-pelosi-a-total-waste-of-time-after-he-storms-out.html

President Donald Trump on Wednesday stormed out of a meeting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer over an ongoing partial government shutdown, calling it "a total waste of time."

"I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO," Trump explained in a tweet as Pelosi and Schumer described the walk-out to reporters.

"I said bye-bye, nothing else works!" Trump added.

Pelosi and Schumer offer a compromise of "Sign our legislation and we'll negotiate it."

Trump asks "Will you negotiate after I sign it."

Pelosi actually answers "No."

Entirely unsurprising, as Pelosi has taken the position that "compromise" is "I get everything I want, and you take it up the ass" for ten years or more now.  And of course, Trump's being unreasonable.

I mean...at least she's honest, but Jesus...
