Goddammit, this isn't difficult: centrist Dems, get Hoyer to join you and talk to centrist Republicans. Agree on $2B in funding for the wall. Centrist Dems and Hoyer force it down Pelosi's throat. Dems and centrist Republicans pass partial funding with a veto-proof majority. Trump and Pelosi can go pound sand up their asses. What is SO. *****. HARD. About that? Not even asking them to be adult. Be THIRD GRADERS, learning to share their toys at recess.

Not completely accurate - Philip's Dutch adventures forced him in to bankruptcy about 10 years earlier. But his inability to keep the English from looting treasure fleets (he went bankrupt while looting the New World) and batshit crazy idea to invade England with no funding, is a very convenient touchpoint for Spanish governmental incompetence. It's a great idea, open the government and we will have a vote Trump will easily lose. Love it! The Democratic wave that hit DC in 2018 isn't going to back down to Trump's hostage taking tactics. This is not how negotiations work. Trump is having a little temper tantrum over his stupid wall and closes the government?
Tiberius
Oh! This will teach the Deep State! Quote “FBI agents have lost irreplaceable sources. Joint Terrorism Task Force officers can’t get into the bureau’s computer systems. Federal investigations are being stymied by a lack of resources. The partial government shutdown, now in its 33rd day, has become a serious national-security threat, the FBI Agents Association said on Tuesday. All of that make us a heck of a lot less safe. Over the past several weeks, the association has been compiling stories from agents about the the shutdown’s impact on the bureau’s operations." https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2019/01/fbi-agents-say-operations-compromised-shutdown/581014/

B-Man
UPDATE - For a *third* time, House Democrats have killed a GOP effort to pay federal workers during the shutdown. Given the attention lavished on R's breaking w/ POTUS, perhaps it's noteworthy that Pelosi's defections have swelled from 6 to 10 to 13: .
