bbb Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Has anybody worked out what we should be looking for this weekend if we want the highest pick?

Chuck Wagon Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 I think Herbert completely closes the door on a trade down with a team looking at QB. It should put Haskins as a clear #1 and would likely force the hand of the Giants / Jags or any other team who wants a potential franchise QB into moving up to 1 or 2. There's always a chance Lock or even Daniel Jones ends up as a Gabbert / Locker type that someone talks themselves into going up to get but I'm not holding my breath on that. Granted, we need to (not) take care of business on Sunday to be in any sort of potential position on a move.

whatdrought Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 I really don’t understand his decision from a football perspective. QB market is so fickle and even a few bad games can push him down a round. Not to mention injury.

He really could use more time in college .... really any QB could. But he’s definitely taking a financial risk.
