I disagree. I think they are perfectly fine. I think college football is a joke for OT rules.

Coin flip winners (ie, the luckier folks) have a distintive advantage, and it ain’t even remotely arguable. It is straight-up BS.

Stop the other team or hold them to a FG.

I wish they would remove ties in the NFL. I hate ties in all sports

If you don't have ties, you have to have a new category for "Overtime Losses" like they do in the NHL. Do you want that?

I don't care what they do but no ties. Have it go to most total yards after 10 min OT or something but no ties.

Ties would be fine or playing a full extra ten minutes would be fine.  Or it would be fine if people stopped crying and played defense.

Why shouldn't Philadelphia have had a chance on offense in OT?

They did. They couldn't get possession of the ball. Football is still a team game. This is why a defense still matters.

Because their defense couldn't shut them down.  I'm a fan of the current system.  Hate the gimmicky college OT.

Or if they adjusted the rules back to some sense of fairness for the defenses. It’s really pathetic to see sometimes. Ruining a game that was once the greatest.

Tell that to the rules committee.

Now that I agree with.  Reverse the Mel Blount rule!

I still like the college rules but think the starting point should simply be moved back for the NFL so you have to actually earn the field goal.
