Im sorry but it’s true.

he learns nothing and does not grow by running.  He simply avoids the type of the plays that QBs need to learn how to make at the highest level.

Maybe several more L’s will make you see it.

It really sounds like you have an agenda

On the bright side:

  • We had a 100-yard rusher again
  • We also had a 100-yard receiver, is that a 1st for the season?
  • Our draft position improved
  • A lot of young guys getting valuable playing time
  • Sets up the Patriots, they'll be taking us lightly ?
  • Finally, our ST coach has sealed his fate

Second 100 yard receiver... oddly BOTH are Foster lol

not White's fault that Darnold had all day.  No CB can cover a WR all day, esp. a fast one like Anderson.  And White had perfect positioning on him.

He is also facing the leagues highest pressure percentage lol....

And where do the 5-6 drops factor in? All in guys chests (literally bouncing off Zay's chest)

Best just to accept NewWar for what he is.

McDermott gets out-coached a lot. His greatest strength (and it is a big one) is that he gets maximum effort from his players. But he is continually embarrassed in game planning and in-game decisions.

Have outgained our opponents 783-423 in the last 2 games and lost both.

Let that marinate

What that tells me is that QB is CLEARLY not the problem.

I will say at least the Refs didn’t cost us this game.

that's true.  Much better officiating than last game--which was the worst than I've seen in a long time.

Darnold's ball is eminently more catchable than Allen's. It's a beautiful ball. Darnold is clearly the superior passer. However, I'm not sure how to weigh Allen's running into the equation.

Allen is the better overall football player

Is your blueprint to trade UP for a Quarterback and then trust him so little that on 3rd down you dial up a WR pass to the QB?

if so please submit your resume to all other 31 teams.

that sort of play calling is embarrassing.

Allen should be working on those plays and throwing and learning

Allen had a lot of great throws from the pocket, dont know what you are talking about. He will stop running when the oline learns to block. Also many of the runs were designed runs and it is obvious he has been told to take off when he sees an opening. I think if he ran more in the second half we would have won. I want to see better passing too but they will come with time and a better supporting cast.

Usually absolutes are not true - he needs to learn from throwing from the pocket, but staying in the pocket is not an option more often than not. Sure there were times protection held up, but that is by far not the norm. You cannot watch Josh and not say that he is learning. OBD has to fix his protection, give him some more weapons, and then he will learn more.

The Blueprint is out...it’s been out.

Force Allen to be a Quarterback and throw from the Pocket. He’s league worst for throwing on 3rd down and picking up the first down.

He needs to STOP RUNNING.

And work on his craft.

How many more guys can hit in the hands? His entire receiving corps is undrafted free agents and low round picks and Zay Jones
