I agree with Ray Ray here. I just dont see why people are saying another McKenzie type. Both McKenzie and Scott have fast 40 times and return punts but thats kind of the end of their comparisons. One went to a smaller school, McKenzie is more quick/shifty... But Scott has 4" of height on McKenzie and looks more solid/strong to fight for balls.

But yes I agree McKenzie vs Ray Ray is like the same player.

It's that "potential" thing scouts go on about.

Just like with QB's, if they have some natural gifts, look the part, have a good combine, etc. they get looks. They only need to have one of those things for a team to take a flyer on them.

He ran a low 4.42 and also is a KR which makes him a reasonable body to replace McKenzie

Beane has decided that speed is good and Cam runs like a defensive lineman.  Scott and Phillips are about the same size and Scott's 40 time is about .3 faster.  That's a lot.

At last report he also has pulse which would also make him an upgrade over Benjamin.

Pos: 

Nice-sized receiver who also doubles as a return specialist. Tracks the pass in the air, adjusts to errant throws and displays soft hands with the ability to ***** the ball away from his frame. Extends his hands, looks the pass in and makes catches in stride.

Neg: 

Not a real creative player with the ball in his hands. Average size and speed. Has an injury history.

Analysis: 

Scott was productive on the college field but must pass medicals and play well on special teams to have any chance at the next level.

I thought I remember reading about it here at TBD.  Perhaps he was just upset about being cut.  I couldn't find anything to back up my memory, so maybe I was totally wrong.  Reilly's Twitter account is full of positive Bills Mafia references and positive Josh Allen and Bills tweets, so it looks like he is pro Buffalo.

 

I did see a few "Benjamin sucks" and "Benjamin must go" and some tweets about Peterman and not having NFL quality receivers.  It was early in the season.  Turns out Reilly was 100% correct.

 

After researching Reilly today, it is obvious he LOVES Buffalo and this Bills team.  He should be on this team.
