papazoid Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 for the right price...yes of course....he's playing well on defense and special teams
Bob Chandler's Hands Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Another year for the Lorax please. Veteran depth like this is fantastic. 3
thenorthremembers Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 100% yes. Give him one year deals until he slows down or decides to retire. They should be handling Alexander just like they have Kyle Williams. Now, I wouldnt say you need to pay him top ten OLB money, but they should try and extend him at one year for around 5.5. 6
YoloinOhio Posted December 6, 2018 Author Posted December 6, 2018 He doesn’t seem like the type to demand big money but who knows. He seems to be very involved in the community and raising his family in Buffalo, plus he may not be as successful in anothwr defense. 5
TroutDog Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 I certainly hope they do. Since so much of his career was not as an every down player, it stands to reason that he could ‘safely’ play another year or two...or until they mutually agree have him retire. I’d loathe seeing him in another teams uni.
MAJBobby Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 1 year 4.5 and 3M guaranteed will likely be good enough to get it done. Lorax and Kyle are year to year contracts at this point. 3
JerseyBills Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 absolutely... people forget, he doesn't have many miles on those legs because he really wasn't playing on a regular basis til he came to Buffalo and he doesn't appear to have lost a step at all, as that graphic shows, he's playing tremendously as a pass rusher. He fits what McD is looking for off the field like a glove as well and with a very young team, he's a great influence in that locker room and on the field. 1
H2o Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Give him another 2 year deal with the only money being guaranteed in the 1st year. 1
Magox Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 A big resounding yes for both Lorax and Kyle Williams. Until they show signs of obvious regression you extend them. 4
YoloinOhio Posted December 6, 2018 Author Posted December 6, 2018 I still think it’s crazy that he has a daughter older than Tremaine Edmunds 6 4
NewEra Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Without a doubt. He’s valuable. Just waiting for the pats to scoop him up before we do

Over 29 years of fanhood Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Sure. He’s already accepted his role as vet depth and situationally he’s still making an impact. Like Kyle worth a spot until he’s not. 4 minutes ago, YoloinOhio said: I still think it’s crazy that he has a daughter older than Tremaine Edmunds He and Dahlin have Shirley temples at the Pegula hiloday party 1 1
colin Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 lol, yes. and pay him up some, reward the great ones.

He just seems like someone who LOVES to play football. The exchanges between Zo and Steve Smith on GMFB about deep acupuncture and what it takes to get right vs. young guys are classic pic.twitter.com/RCv7p5sxAy (also apparently Smith and Alexander's wives were college roommates. that's some funny stuff there) Cover1 talks Zo on the field: https://www.cover1.net/lorenzo-alexanders-unreal-level-of-play-in-2018/ If he wants to play, keep him. 1
GunnerBill Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 He wasn't signed for his fit in Rex's scheme he was signed for his special teams play. Then Shaq went down, Manny Lawson struggled and had a PED issue and suddenly Lorax was in. I was for cutting him last year because as an off the ball backer in this scheme going sideline to sideline he struggled. They hit on the way to use him effectively in that playoff game in Jacksonville and he has been lights out this year. If he wants a 1 year extension I'd give him one. 1
