Kirby Jackson Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Just saw this tweet and it looks like Vegas thinks he’s a candidate? Thoughts??? 7
atlbillsfan1975 Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 (edited) I’d be surprised if he gets an interview. Tons of good candidates out there. Edited December 4, 2018 by atlbillsfan1975
PIZ Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Great. Just when I started liking the guy. I thought Buffalo was his dream job, even if it was OC.
CEN-CAL17 Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 He’s not leaving.... he’s proved nothing. Interview process but I doubt even that will happen. 1
Domdab99 Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 lol why would the Packers hire a guy who's team is in the bottom 5 in the league in his specialty? 2
YoloinOhio Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 He looks like he eats his share of cheese. Otherwise no. 6
LeGOATski Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Interesting that he's higher than Josh McDaniels. What inside info do they have? 2 minutes ago, Domdab99 said: lol why would the Packers hire a guy who's team is in the bottom 5 in the league in his specialty? Between Daboll and Taylor (and technically Fitz, Shaw, and Jim), it may be because they're looking for a guy who's recently worked with young QBs...?
Bangarang Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Bet $5000 that he won’t get hired and thank me later. 2
LeGOATski Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 I guess all of them have recently worked with young QBs...hmmmm

Bills Wilk Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 No , but McCarthy to the would not be good
Magox Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 That would be surprising. I think he's been better than what most believe but he hasn't "earned" it. 1
Warcodered Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 You'd think he'd need at least a year where he was able to get the offense clicking.
YoloinOhio Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 I heard Jeff Tedford is a dark horse candidate
Kirby Jackson Posted December 4, 2018 Author Posted December 4, 2018 This surprises me. It never crossed my mind that he could be considered a HC candidate coming off of this season. The best thing that ever happened to him is that he worked for Belichick and Saban. I wonder if he will be a candidate elsewhere? Could it be the Mark Murphy WNY connection?

Um, betting odds aren't my thing... but if McDaniels is +600 while Daboll is +1000, doesn't that mean McDaniels is considered to have greater probability of becoming HC there? eg if you bet $100 on McDaniels becoming HC and he does, you win $600+your bet. If you bet $100 on Daboll, you win $1000+your bet, because Vegas considers Daboll less likely (but considers McDaniels pretty unlikely, also) And after the fool he made of the Colts, it would be a brave GM or CEO who would reach out to McDaniels. Green Bay just signed Rodgers to a 4 yr contract with almost $100M guaranteed. They would carry $60M in dead cap next year if they moved on from him, $34 in 2020. The ability of the OC to work with a young QB is not likely to be a deciding factor in GB's choice of HC. The ability of the HC and OC to work with Aaron Rodgers, is. 2
H2o Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Bruce Arians will come out of retirement to lead the last charge of Rodgers for the next 3-5 years. 3
