Joeziehmer Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Who do we want as Coach? As it appears to be more and more lame duck by the day, I think we have to move on. 6

I've been critical of McDermott and I have genuine concerns. But what makes you think his job is in jeopardy??
CuddyDark Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 If McCarthy runs his rigid offense I'll take McDermott. 2

JoeF Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 (edited) I think David Tepper (new owner of the Panthers) is going to try to get Beane and McDermott to come back to Carolina in the offseason. I don't think he will be successful but I do think agent calls will be made. Edited December 3, 2018 by JoeF 1
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 I think we found a candidate to sacrifice to remove the curse... 2
LeGOATski Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 I don't think McCarthy has done anything to warrant being desired over McD. 4 3
DJB Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Wait so people actually want a guy who has wasted the last ten years of Aaron Rodgers arguably a top 3 Qb over that span? The guy runs a terrible offence. 5 1
JXCOL3 Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 McCarthy couldn't win with Aaron Rodgers. /thread 3 1
ghostwriter Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 McD is so close to turning this around. No other coach on the planet deserves the job more. 14 2

Let's see, McDermott has been drafting well, getting starters at the least, stars at the most from picks in the first round through the fifth, has developed players so that those young guys have made a big impact on the season, and with one more good draft/free agency, and/or continuing to develop his players, puts the Bills in place to make waves in the NFL going forward for a long time to come. McCarthy, on the other hand, has squandered some of the best years of one the NFL's most elite QBs in history. Tough choice, troll... 4 1

I'm thinking that it has to be ok'd by Pegula first to even allow agents to talk. Maybe I'm wrong, but McBeane are under contract Edited December 3, 2018 by BuffAlone 1
billsfan_34 Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 McDermitt- I feel we are on the brink of something special. It is hard to coach when you dont have the personnel. Lets get him his horses and see this thing through. The last thing we need is another coaching change. 2
BillsfaninChicago Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 I actually don’t know how effective a coach McCarthy is. Having Aaron Rodgers kind of pads his stats a bit. 2
Tenhigh Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Read the OP or contract Explosive Diarrhea? 1
blacklabel Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 McDermott, no question. Guy is constantly looking to evolve and get better. He isn't stuck in his ways like McCarthy who has refused to evolve or adapt, he's just simply leaned on Rodgers to bail them out time and again and it finally caught up to him. And at this point, with this fan-base, I'm certain McDermott could bring home 17 straight titles and there would still be people saying, "Meehh... I have concerns....he won, but, like, he should've done this and that" blah blah blah. 5
