transplantbillsfan Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Yes, that's the takeaway they should have. 4
YoloinOhio Posted December 3, 2018 Author Posted December 3, 2018 (edited) Quote But one game does not tell the whole story of the difference between Tannehill and Allen, the new Bills quarterback you’ll be seeing on the opposing sideline for the next few years. One game actually should make you wary about the future because that was certainly something Allen put on display in a losing cause to Miami. If you’re a football fan, it was fun and exciting to watch. If you’re a Dolphins fan it was unnerving and worrisome because Allen is a rookie. Quote Because while Tannehill showed in his seventh season he’s polished his game to a certain solid level, Allen showed in his seventh start his ceiling is way higher and way more promising than anything the Dolphins have. 26CornerBlitz Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 (edited) Well duh with Tannehill as their only decent QB with no upside. Edited December 3, 2018 by 26CornerBlitz
whatdrought Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 This was my exact thought about todays game. I mentioned in the GDT that what we were watching was a team built to compete doing everything they could to lose to a team that is in the middle of a hard rebuild. The bills are going in the right direction. Take away 2-3 key rookie/young player mistakes (on a team starting about 10 first and second year players) and we win that game easy. If im a dolphins fan I don't walk away feeling happy, regardless of the end score. 4
Warcodered Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 They should be worried when they come to Buffalo I'd bet they're going to be facing a pretty fired up team after this one and is getting more in sync as they go. 1
dgrochester55 Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 I agree with this, this is about the least disappointed that I ever remember feeling in a Bills loss. Yeah the drop sucked but many of the young players showed real potential to be a part of the team's future. We may have something in Allen, the Dolphins are saddled with a QB whose ceiling is "Meh". 3
Rico Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Yep, Dolphins may have won, but they had to be eating their hearts out looking across the field at what's coming at them in the future. 6

Doc Brown Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 I'm sure they'd prefer the other 17 on the field today. With the goal always be winning the Superbowl, Tannehill is not the long term solution there. Obviously.

I hope the Dolphins do just well enough this year to keep Gase and Tannehill. Best thing that can happen to the East. (short of the jets keeping Bowles, and BB and Tommy dying of dysentary) 4 2

Nick the Greek Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 We have a rook.. jury is still out. Tanihill is looking like a bust, and they may have to start from scratch. Of course the future it currently brighter for us. Give it time tho. Things can change in a heartbeat.
whatdrought Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Tannehill was taken one pick behind where Allen was selected, and I think Allen has already shown more upside in his career. (that's probably homerism.) Just goes to show how the QB market has no year to year consistency. 2

HappyDays Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Tannehill is the same guy he's always been. Right around the 16th-20th best QB in the league at any time. I'm happy with him being in the division as long as they want to keep him. The Dolphins have Andy Dalton syndrome. 2
transplantbillsfan Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Players seem to feel this way, too 4
