Hebert19
That's gotta be a record. Ha. Special teams and penalties crushed us today.
Bob in STL
You summed it up. Poor special teams and too many penalties. Add to that very inconsistent officiating. Young team, rookie QB, and this kind of stuff happens.
Hebert19
Yup. But Allen once again showed me a lot today.
BADOLBILZ
Yeah but like 120(?) penalty yards? Team is getting that Rex Ryan-esque rep for penalties and..........just like then..........if they don't clean it up it will precede them into games. Kaizen Experts, fire up those Powerpoints! Slide 1: Isaiah McKenzie. Useful occasional offensive weapon. However, going out on a limb ... There seems to be a non-random correlation between having him on your roster and your team fumbling on punt returns. Slide 2: Jordan Phillips. As our Week 6 Kaizen presentation showed, there is value in acquiring a talented defensive tackle who appears to have reached an impasse with his current coach. As our Week 13 review will show, making a nice play and then more than negating it with an idiotic unsportsmanlike conduct penalty made him our weakest link. Slide 3: Kelvin Benjamin and Charles Clay. This one requires a more sophisticated analysis. The chart on this slide graphs salary against productivity at the pass catching positions .... This is just part of the growing pains that go with that. Stick with it, improve and build something.

Many of those penalties on offense are because they simply dont have the talent on the OLine and they take last ditch effort penalties to avoid being beat cleanly... Fix the ST because this is the 2nd game lost by poor ST play. Fix the damn penalties. And cut some of these worthless coaches and players.
