Now comes the silliness.  He made some great plays in the game and some not so great.  That's a fair assessment.

I basically said the same thing in the game day thread, and was told I have an "agenda."

He showed exactly what the knock on him comming out of college was.

Generally that stuff is not fixable at this level, those kinds of off throws will likely plague his career. He could have set his feet, he didn't, game lost.

They said the same things about Mahomes, so.....

He made a tough throw, it came up a bit short, but if Clay doesn’t stumble forward it’s the game winning TD on an improbable play that few QB’s in the league could make. I’m not predicting the future, but I’m very encouraged with what I saw from Allen today. He took the offense on his shoulders. I didn’t love all the running, but he wants to win and he was smart about sliding or stepping OB. That’s worked in Seattle with a much smaller QB.

Allen had a brutal first half but looked better in the 2nd. Not a fan of all the running he does but he’s making plays with his legs.

I disagree it was Brutal. It wasn’t a goood first half but it wasn’t brutal... example of Brutal would be Tyrod’s half losing his starting job to Mayfield.... or ANY Peterman half

To quote an ex poster, follow the money.

I used to be a skeptic. Then i worked with a guy whose father did 15 fed, he was a lietenant with one of the families. This guy seriously grew uo without his father because he was in the families.

They have their hands in EVERYTHING. I worked with him for two years, he dished the goods. He would not even watch a game of ANY sport, even college, on TV because he knew they had their hands in the pot. He told me the big three, NFL, MLB, NBA, maybe not ALL the games were rigged, but some definitely were on a daily (MLB) and mostly weekly (NFL) basis. The games with big money, they knew how to get to the refs. In game comms were also fair game. They paid off ANYONE they had to to effect the outcome in their favor. Games like today make me think about our long conversations. I had the same bad ju ju after last years Patricheats game Christmas Eve. Remember the Kelvin Benjamin "non-catch?"

It's amazing that with essentially every ref on the take (they would have to be since they all rotate to different games), only your friend (outside of the wise guys) seems to be aware of this....

Bills-Phins is a "big money game"?

You have a bunch of bunker mentality fans who can deal with objective criticism of Allen because it threatens their hope tank for a franchise QB.  Ignore them and believe what you see.

Yeah, I mean Clay has blame on that play as well, he can keep running toward the ball there.

Bill who? I watch plenty of games and that wasn't the best throw with the game on the line and Allen knows it as anyone with eyes does to.  Catchable sure as already stipulated.

Really he had no time in the pocket had to dodge the rush immediately and keep doing it to a ridiculous degree. Manages to heave the ball within range of a receiver well after the plays broken down for a first down maybe a TD and because it's not far enough to make the play super easy for the receiver it's his fault? How much effort is reasonable to expect from a receiver? And of course as a leader, teammate, and a rookie QB Allen is going to take and probably actually blame himself on that play for not lasering in so it actually got stuck in Clays helmet.

Don't know about that. I'm a right Josh guy but there were some throws he'll need to learn from.

Allen needs to hit a wide open Jones in the end zone and\or a wide open Foster for a TD.  Those are pretty easy throws for an NFL quarterback.  He makes some great throws and then misses wide open receivers.  It is concerning.

If if he completes those two passes, we win easily.

Also, what about the missed xtra point ?  Haushka makes that and we only need a field end at the to send it to OT.

That ball was in the air a LOOOONG time, and Clay couldn’t move forward more than about 5 yards? Inexcusable! Having said that....how did they lose track of him like that??? How does a guy get THAT open in the end zone in THAT situation?

The throw wasn't the problem in my opinion.  The TE roaming 5 yards deep into the end zone and not coming back to the QB was.

They made up for the missed PAT with the 2-point conversion in the 4th. It's a wash.

exactly, at some point the receiver needs to turn around and see what the QB is doing. if hes scrambling for his life, than the receivers needs to run back.

i have no clue what clay was doing in the back of the end zone
