There is no reason for Alonzo's head to be above the receivers shoulders.  He doesn't have to go low to the knees, but he needs to come down.  The hit on Luck seemed rather touchy, but today's call has to be called. 

 

Rugby players can make these hits without colliding heads, so football players can too.

Alonzo is 6'3" and McKenzie is 5'8" , how low should Alonzo go without going at his legs?
