Any team who plays Jacksonville, rest of the season, should strive to have Fournette ejected.  Absent a reliable QB, it's a guaranteed W.

Pretty much. At least that was the "excuse" that Marrone reportedly gave for exercising the buy-out clause in his contract. The Pegulas wanted him back and were willing to give him a contract extension to stay. He demanded that all of his assistants (including Hackett, who was heavily criticized during his 2 years here as OC) also be given guaranteed contract extensions. When the Pegulas balked, the inevitable happened.

 

While that may have been the reason Marrone "officially" gave for moving on,  the real reason was that the buy-out gave him a guaranteed $4M -- and the Jets head coaching position (supposedly his dream job) had just opened with the firing of Rex. Marrone received word from his agent (prior to the exercising the contract buy-out) that he would be viewed as the top candidate for the Jets' job . Ironically his quitting on the Bills made him toxic to fans as a head coach candidate in New York (and elsewhere). Hence, his biding his time until the Jags job opened and like-minded Coughlin was calling the shots.

Hackett still was worst OC I have ever seen as the Bills OC.  Funny,  I still believe Marrone left because he didn’t want to fire Hackett here.  So he used his out clause

As I watched the game yesterday, I was mystified when the Jagoffs went away from Fournette and back to Bortles in the 3rd quarter.  I was thinking, "just keep the ball in Bortles' hands, and we will win when he gives it away."  The Jagoffs gave us that game yesterday.  Hackett outsmarted himself right out of a job.  Well played, Nate, er..., Nathaniel.

The Bills overloaded the box to make things more difficult for Fournette to the tune of 5 carries for 12 yards in the 2nd half before we was ejected.

This!  I have to think that some of these OCs just get bored calling the same plays.  Stick with what works until they stop you. (Not sure if he'll ever get the chance to learn from that mistake...or if he can.)

the nepotism in the nfl is a huge problem.  These guys keeping getting jobs because of who their dad is and/ who they are friends with.  EJ probably might not have been good but giving him Nate Hackett as both his OC/ QBs coach for his rookie year after only being an OC at Cuse was so stupid. The Jags falling apart this year was so predictable.

Hackett had the #5 offense in the NFL with Blake Bortles at QB. Statistically, that’s better than EJ ever did ever.

 

EJ sucked. He’s out of the league. Enough said.

That was predictable, and Hackett should have had something ready to take advantage of it.  They still should have run Fournette until he puked.  Every time I saw Bortles drop back, I cheered.  He threw one good ball all day, the simultaneous possession play before all hell broke loose.  Unless you count garbage time, when Frazier went prevent and almost cost us the game.
