Do I Look Like I Give A F**#

Courtesy of a very ribald Australian.

So far, I have to say that SLO, is my favourite - not that I currently believe it, but that it’s inevitable ?

One of the few acronyms that actually sounds as good as a word as the phrase it stands for.  Even better when you imagine it said with an Australian accent.

This is one of the few acronyms I've seen that I can imagine people actually remembering and using.

These are initialisms, not acronyms.  Acronyms make a word (like NASA), initialisms just use the initials and don't make any word out of it.  Just sayin'.

NASA ?......is a word?...lol

Idk what he's talking about. These are acronyms: FWIW, IMO, NASA

NASA is not a word it's an abbreviation of words, which is defined as an acronym. National Aeronautics and Space Administration are.. words I'll give him that.

ac·ro·nym
/ˈakrəˌnim/
noun
  1. an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word (e.g., ASCII, NASA ).

Now that that's settled LET THE THREAD CONTINUE TO CREATE ACRONYMS

Oh thank God the Sunday morning alcohol free bars hour has passed.

Apparently you geniuses don't know what "pronounced as a word means."  Brilliant.  Look up the definition of "initialism" and then come back to me and tell me how wrong I am again.

I’m pretty certain they use it in Australia, and I know quite a few people in the UK who do/have. ?
