No it doesn’t. It implies he left before he should have. His contract was not up.

He didn’t just up and decide to quit, there was a lot going on that he did not like. He had an out and took it. If he was treated right things could have been different.

To verbally abuse the man because he made a good business decision seems crazy. Yes, it was selfish but look at what he has done in Jax. Turned that franchise around. While we continue to spin our wheels.

Really, how many wins do they have?

Marrone is not a good coach. The Bills won in spite of him coming in and destroying the offensive line and having a terrible offense. They won because of their defense.

Sound familiar? He's doing the same thing in Jacksonville. He is an offensive coach and always has bad offenses.

I was not mad he took his out clause in Buffalo. I was fine with it.

I like Doug a lot. He is the best coach we’ve had since Levy.

It is too bad his time here was cut short, he had the potential to do great things.

Doug is a great family man and a good friend.

Helen is a great Mother and wife.

His time here wasn't "cut short".  He bailed.  He literally took the money and ran, because he thought he was too big for the Bills and the Jets were going to give him an offer.

I know one of Dougys and Jimmy Bs former neighbors.  Said Jimmy B. was very nice, Marrone was a dick.  His kids were friends with Dougys. He left the kids at my friends house when the “quitting” went down. Kinda just dropped them off for a couple of days...true story.

So spiteful.

They almost went to the Super Bowl last year. They have a ton of injuries this year.

Marrone is a great coach and was building a winner here before his time was cut short.

I met him while he was coach of the Bills. He was at a charity event at a local bar in the Bronx for a firefighter from his old neighborhood. Was nice enough. Talked Bills for 10-15  minutes. Took a couple pictures with him, but he asked that our beers weren't in the picture. I guess with social media you have to watch out for what gets out there, but I thought it was harmless. He was at a bar after all.

ask Rex and his brother about bars, beers, and social media.

I disagree with your opinion. And I'm not spiteful. Marrone is just not a good coach, in my opinion.

Wrong. He made a wise career decision and decided to exercise the clause in his contract. This is similar to Le'Veon Bell not signing his franchise tag. He made the right decision, obviously. He has a head coaching job after all these years. If he had stayed in Buffalo, EJ would've ruined his career and he knew it.

I’m just saying you shouldn’t hate the guy for making a personal business decision. Try to be a bit more objective.

Yes sir. I was at a Cuse v Cincinnati basketball game back when he was the head coach of Syracuse football.

Me and my bro were up in the nosebleeds, and so was Doug. He was in a suit, and he must have been entertaining potential recruits way up there. I don’t know why they didn’t have better seats.

Anyway, after a few Dome foams, me and my bro were convinced it was actually him (we were unsure why he’d be in the nosebleeds, plus we weren’t totally positive it was him. It’s weird seeing someone in real life vs TV.)

We would yell to him every time he stood up or walked by us, and he mostly ignored us.

Finally he looked at us when we yelled to him and he said.. “alright guys”.

It it was a total jerk, dismissive move. What an jack wagon.

Did he seem like a jerk on TV when he coached on Buffalo? Well it wasn’t an act, the guy is a jerk in real life. He couldn’t even say hi to a couple fans.

Expand

Haha "We screamed at this guy a bunch of times while he was working, and he did't like it."

After watching the Rex/Whaley power struggle debacle, people really think Doug didn't make the best move for his career?

I doubt Coughlin will hold Marrone responsible for Bortles shortcomings. He was a mediocre QB known for choking long before Marrone got there.
