This dude is ALL class, no matter the idiocy he deals with from media and fans.

Class was never the issue with McD...people just questioned if he was in over his head

I personally never had a doubt. I think he's going to be here a long time. Just the way he communicates with his players and his ability to get the most out of very little , he seems like he was born to be a HC .

Not that I'm knocking him either way, but did he buy the boots or did he have the Bills pay for them.  That sort of thing is done all the time in businesses where you give recognition gifts, so not knocking it, just wondering.

He took a mediocre roster and made the playoffs last year.  It was a lot of luck but to have the team in that position was unexpected.  That would be my counter-argument to those who say he is in over his head.

Yes, he has ***** up the QB position with loyalty to Nate, who clearly is not an NFL talent, but I question whether the Bills would have won those games anyway.  This year he had no choice the second time he started Nate.

He also is not the most skilled clock manager yet.  There are things to work on.....

I'd imagine he bought them because if the Bills org did it then I think it would have fallen afoul of the rules around the cap and gifts.

That's true, didn't think about that, most businesses don't have a salary cap! Though some act like they do. :)

I got my wife a pair of those boots for Christmas last year. They seem nice and warm. Probably gonna give her a contract extension too.

hope you have thought out the logistics with your contract extension considerations.
Loyalty retains value, and other nice things factor into these matters. But keep in mind the Chris Kelsey contract.

 on that note !

hope it is a long term  and guaranteed contract extension : )

He's still our HC? How is he not fired yet?

Waiting to fire him and Housley in a package deal.

Don't mean to sound ignorant, but are these like really nice boots or something?

You beat me to it. I've never heard of these Sorel boots.

Young men don't like to spend money on practical things like winter boots.

This is just a way of making sure they are taking care of their feet while gaining some equity rather than giving them out for free.......because *free* team swag and equipment is taken for granted.
