I'm guessing many of you listen to the podcasts (and if you don't, many of you should)

I found a recent episode to be a worthwhile listen, especially in our discussions about Ds and Rs.   This episode frames the political parties as dominant economic monopolies.  Hard to argue with the conclusions.

all part of that cottage industry of finding a winning side and then seeing something unusual about it and pretending that was the key ingredient

like the Boston Red Sox went out and spent the most money and grabbed the power bats and strongest arms and won the World Series in 2018

that really is a big DUH, but with Freak and Gladwell they will find out the Red Sox ate Frosted Flakes for breakfast once, so that's the secret to reproducing this feat
