Because there haven't been fights in sports before now....anyone remember the bench clearing ones in hockey....I have been to few at the Aud. There's just more coverage because every game is on TV now

maybe it's just more in your face.  nothing can happen without it being recorded and it being played again, and again, and again.  there's always been an element of this in sports.
